Guest guest
Its not going to be any worse that other things I'm sure you have had done to you as long as you have fought the C P you have. There will be a sore place in the middle of your back depending on where they place the leads. As your is temporary there will be a little plastic box on the outside where the connections are made to the leads to the temporary leads to the controller. Don't be afraid of these at all. They are fixed very good and not going any where. After they install it all you will get a short course on how to turn it on and off and recharge it and adjust the voltage ect. My biggest mess up during the temporary period, I though the warning about bending over and stretching the leads where for other people. So please do as they tell you. If you just keep thinking about how good it could be if you got rid of most of the pain and almost have a normal life again. Please don't be worried because there is no reason to. Think of the good things that happen to all most off the people with them, and do what the doctor tells you to do . and it could be wonderful. Just as my Permanent implant was settling down and I was enjoying it so much The throat cancer thing popped up. But If I didn't have the implant working for me. There is no doubt I could have taken the throat thing as well as I do. I wish you very good luck. and I don't know about a lot of the people here that make the choice of what to do or not to take place on how much trouble or pain it might be. There is a lot of us that has advanced so far that we are willing to take any thing or pain that even has a chance to make our life better. Monday I take my PET test. that tells if and how far the cancer has spread and really what is my chances of fighting it . Right now I could sharpen a chain saw with it running. And right mow no coffee but they say its just for the up comoming test, but i sure could kil fot a bog ole hot cup!!
