Guest guest
Jamy, I still think that a real live Mexican pharmacy vs. a virtual pharmacy that buys from the US and only ships from Mexico because of laws are two different things - in fact, even 2 real live pharmacies and 2 websites are two (or four) different things. There are many people on the [Thyroid] group that have used Armour from American drugstores and Armour from myrxforless and even Armour from American drugstores and generic thyroid from myrxforless that said they felt absolutely no difference, not just Topper. I only quoted Topper cause she is from this group - heck, she is the owner, so I figured it would be better than people from a different group. So in short, I am not saying Mexican *pharmacies *are good, I am saying that as far as I know, this one pharmacy website myrxforless.com is good. I used my Cytomel from there even on alternating days with my regular prescription T3 and felt absolutely no difference, and with T3 I would feel it - especially cause I take a whopping 75mcg a day. Between my own experience and everyone else's, and not hearing a single negative experience with their meds in any of the gazillion groups I belong to (even some girls that got metformin from there, from my PCOS groups), I can say they are a good pharmacy. Guest guest
The shipping houses are not regulated like we are here, but the prices are much lower. Canada is regulated and not as much money as here but not as cheap as Mexico. If I had no money, I might buy from Mexico. Like I said, I know people that have even gotten steroid inhalers with no issue, but as Topper said, the ones she gets are out of date. Heat, sun many things can effect the potency. It is a buyer beware. I get my Osteogel from France out of date, but I am so sensitive, I am very careful of thyroid meds. This company does not appear to ship to Mexico, but the company is buying out dated products and shipping to the USA from what I am seeing! All I am saying is buyer beware. Guest guest
The thyroid that I get from Mexico has NEVER been out of date... the ones that I got about a month or 6 weeks ago are dated 10/05.. I have one of the bottles right in front of me... I don't believe I've gotten a bottle yet that wasn't dated for at least a year down the road. They are in good shape, too.. a pill that has absorbed too much moisture or exposed to extremes in temps don't split well.. and I have always been able to do quarters with these, even for their small size they split well. I get mine from a friend that buys them in Mexico and then ships them up to me. So I'm not sure what the dates are on the product shipped out of the online pharmacies, if there is a difference. We have a few folks that have gotten them online.. can you guys let us know with your expiration dates are? Guest guest
Gee, I misunderstood what you said by a year or two down the road : topper2@j... Date: Fri Jul 23, 2004 7:09 am Subject: Re: questions on Mexican generics ADVERTISEMENT I can't attest to storage.. but the expiration dates on the bottles that I've gotten so far have been at a year or more down the road. And for as sensitive as I am to changes in meds.. not a single problem when going from bottle to bottle. I've just opened number five. I might add that I'm picky about the time I have them shipped... I go for spring and fall when the temperatures are mild... not too cold, not too hot. And then I meet the mail carrier to make sure that the meds don't sit out in the mail box, in the sun. So the meds are not exposed to temps outside their storage ranges during shipping. Guest guest
I didn't word it so good... sorry.... I meant that all the bottles have had a year or more to go on their expiration dates... Did that come out right? I'm getting older you know... and I have hypo brain fog...sometimes things don't come out the way I intend!!! *blush* But I'm glad that it came up so that it could be clarified.. I've been talking with a few folks that are having trouble getting Armour brand and may have to switch until production can keep up with demand again... so they need to know the details. You do keep me on my toes, Jamy!!! Thanks! Topper () On Sun, 25 Jul 2004 10:57:44 -0700 "Jamy " writes: Gee, I misunderstood what you said by a year or two down the road : topper2@j... Guest guest
With the Nutri-meds you need to take 2 to 3 times as much, by weight, as the generic.... I've not yet been able to do a comparison with Armour to give a 'scale' for that... But for anyone that is NOT able to get natural any other way -Nutri-meds, I feel, is a valid option. But with that many tabs needed it does get pricey. I was on them for a whole year. July '02 to July '03. The reason I switched to Time-Caps is that an offer was made to pick them up for me in Mexico and then I would mail the money to her and she'd ship them to me... The price difference was something I simply couldn't pass up, so I took the gamble to switch from the Nutri-meds even though I'd been doing FAR better on them that I ever did on Synthroid or Levoxyl. Nutri-meds natural thyroid may not be as strong and is an OTC grade.. but they are located in the US so there are no custom issues and they can accept orders via snail mail for those that do not have credit or debit cards (like me). Oh.. I did the porcine, not the bovine.. and tablets not capsules, from Nutri-meds. www.nutri-meds.com Topper () On Sun, 25 Jul 2004 14:10:30 -0700 (PDT) Jan writes: Topper- How does the generic thyroid stack up with the Nutrameds that you used to take?
