Guest guest
Gretchen, You really need to listen to Dr. Kolb. So many women here have told you that already. She is a doctor, we are not. There isn't anything else any of us can tell you that will help you. We have all offered you everything we know to help yet either it doesn't help you or you don't try it -- I suspect the latter. You need a doctor now, not a computer. Guest guest
Gretchen, It is doing harm to the group for you to keep asking the same questions and saying the same thing. None of us feel that you are even listening to us. We need you to change your postings or we will have to put you on monitored status. We cannot let your constant complaints harm the group. Please get some help for your obsession about your health issues. We are not doctors and we cannot help you when we feel you are not trying to help yourself. This is a loving warning, because we do care. We are a large group and everyone needs to be participating in a positive way. Negative energy is harmful to the entire group. Guest guest
If anyone has any suggestions it looks like Gretchen's Mother and Father are willing to help her... Please e-mail Gretchen's Mother with any suggestions for help for her at debbiecannon@... God Bless, ~See what's free at AOL.com. Hello, I appreciate your concern and help with Gretchen. I'm doing all I know to do to help Gretchen. We've seen an endocrinologist in LA who is world renowned for treating people from all over the world. He's the one who found the aldosterone deficiency. We saw a holistic doctor just today. He gave her a glutathione iv treatment; no improvement yet. I try my best to be positive and encouraging, but I can't stay with her all the time. I've used all my sick days at school and each time I'm out it costs me $102 a day for a substitute. I'll do whatever I have to to help her, but it's getting costly. Today, we had her apartment treated for mold, toxins, allergens, etc. I bought her a new bed which is being delivered tomorrow in case there was any mold in the mattess. Her dad took her to an infectious disease doctor who ran bunches of tests; results aren't in yet. I try to get her to stay with me as much as she will, she spent last night and is staying again tonight. She is trying to keep her independence as much as possible. I agree with you about Dave, he doesn't understand, but I try not to get too involved between them. She realizes it too, but is afraid of losing him. I told her if he can't withstand this, he's not worth it. She did get better, but, she has gotten significantly worse in the past few days. He memory loss and brain fog is worse. I hope this is just the toxins leaving her body. If she isn't showing improvment soon, we're going to try to get her doctor to admit her to the hospital for further tests. The adrenal gland has to get stabilized also. She's taking florinef and salt pills. Her blood pressure is too low and this decreases the blood flow to the brain. This is not the entire problem, obviously, but it is a huge factor. Any advice you and the others can offer will be welcomed by my husband and me. We really are being positive and try to get Gretchen to stop being so negative. She's been through a lot and I agree no more surgery for now. She's taking: Vfend Levoxyl and armour thyroid florinef b12 salt pills multivitamin molybdenm ALA probiotic pearls Please forward this to anyone else you think can help. Thanks again for your help, support, and prayers. Deborah - Gretchen's mom On 4/9/07, Toxicsalines@... <Toxicsalines@...> wrote: Dear Gretchen Mom, I really would love to talk to your regarding Gretchen.... She seems to be going downhill and I feel she needs extra help from you or someone. She don't understand this sickness, so hard for her since she has the brain fog and memory issues going on. Do you think you could start posting to the group, just ask of way the ladies think you could help your Daughter. Know body on the group knows what to do or say to her any longer. She is always negative thinking the worst. If we knew what all she was taking this may help her situation. We feel exhausted repeating the same thing over and over. Gretchen is to sick to get rid of this on her own, she is not strong enough or mentally able to think of what we are saying. We all know of her symptoms and sickness, we all have lived with this for years our selves. I do know Gretchen is overly stressed since she got sick, this is understandable, however stressing makes our sickness worse daily. If Gretchen is on any medication, this sometimes can make us worse. If she is allergic?? to silicone dioxide or silica, she needs to watch that she is not taking these products. We have suggested she get her post op reports from Dr. Kolb, find out what she was diagnosed with and what Dr. Kolb found in her. She slipped the diet, which has made all of her symptoms come back and know since she ate sugar, she is panicked and scared to death. Stressing over this sickness will make you sicker and more symptoms. We don't know how to stress these things enough to her, but she is so sick, this don't comprehend. I am really worried for Gretchen and some women need help from a loved one to monitor them, to get them better. Gretchen is now dead set on this thought she needs more surgery, she does not need any further surgery. In fact she has had enough surgery to last her a lifetime. The anesthesia is hard to get rid of and now she has 3 surgeries back to back to deal with. Dr. Kolb is skilled and left nothing behind that needs additional surgery for, she may need to go visit her for a follow up. Maybe you can find a good kinesioligist, holistic doctor in your area instead. 's Mom, could help you out with names of doctors to go see in your area, maybe. I know that Gretchen is so sick and getting worse, this is pretty normal we call it the honeymoon period. We get surgery, feel better then in about two weeks blam a ton of bricks hits us. You have to constantly work on the proper diet, supplements and medication to take to get better. Some does more harm than good. I am worried that Gretchen, wanting to get well in a hurry, is over doing her medicines? I am just guessing here, don't really know? I know she goes and works out with Dave sometimes, really she don't need to be doing this at this point if dizzy and foggy. Dave don't understand this sickness, stressing her out further. It is like he wanted her to get the implants, now that she has breast implant sickness, he is totally not understanding of it what so ever. Says she is so negative..... I agree Gretchen is negative, we all are when we were as sick as she is.... Understandable...... On the other hand this type of behavior and stressing will make you sicker... Do you think she could have post traumatic stress disorder? She has been traumatized by this sickness.... She was under the impression they were totally safe as we all were? I think her frustration and fogginess, is really doing a number on her health. She has to calm down, not think of this sickness, to even begin to heal from it. I thought maybe you could reach her, she clearly has nobody else, except you and her father.... I feel Dave is making her worse, not being understanding, thinking she is suppose to just miraculously be well know since removal of implants. This sickness does not work that way, there is no cure for us... However we can feel better in time if we do the proper procedures. Unfortunately Stress is not on the list.... Neither is most drugs that most doctors prescribe for you... Natural supplements, diet and the protocol Dr Kolb prescribed, that is her best bet to succeed and move on.... Stress and attitude are another big factor to heal.... I will add that some of the protocol supplements may not agree with everyone.... You have to work on this daily to figure out what is making Gretchen sick, or it could be she just needs more time.... There is a wealth of information and support on the group.... You should come and join us.... Gretchen is on monitoring status since she stresses so many women out with negative post, not listening and repeats the same things over and over.... Gretchen can't do this on her own.... She needs you to learn this sickness for her to help her out and get her well..... , 's Mom has done this for and it has helped her..... Without , I can only imagine were would be, I doubt she would be living personally.... I fear Gretchen is the same way, unless someone steps up to the plate for her, she is in big trouble... I pray you will join the group and follow what some of these women suggest, whether is be trying to keep Gretchen not so stressed, to getting her a silicone hypersensitivity test, finding her a good holistic doctor in your area.... ETC.... I am so exhausted myself repeating the same thing over and over and over to her, it is not registering because these implants do so much damage to people it is just amazing.... Yet, we were all told the same line, how " safe " they are..... First step would be to get her post op reports from Dr. Kolb's office, they can fax them to you.... Then post daily until you can figure out what others do for the sickness and how to get better..... I pray Gretchen can go back to work and not lose her job.... This is only going to depress her more than ever.... I will keep her in my prayers as I do daily..... Guest guest
It sounds like Gretchen is being treated by several different people, all who have different perspectives on how to approach her illness. The list of who she is seeing and what she's taking is awfully long. If it were me, I would try and narrow in on one doctor who believes that she is ill from implants, preferably an M.D. who can get necessary tests, but one who is also holistically-minded and will help her sort out what to do and monitor her over the long haul of healing. That Gretchen's mom is buying her a new bed in case of mold seems extreme. Is there any evidence that she is sick from mold? Running from doc to doc and chasing down diagnoses can get really confusing and expensive, and may not be all that helpful in the long run. Obviously she is not doing well, but it also has not been very long since her explant. I believe that finding a very good trustworthy primary doctor, and adhering to a clean diet, exercise, stress reduction, and practicing patience, are the way to go. I don't know what the level of vitamin A is, however I was getting sicker by the day until I stopped taking the multivitamins - I had vitamin A toxicity.
