Guest guest
Delores, Thanks for your offer to give information about diet. I enjoyed your little message about absorption and the timing and the way you must take certain vitamins/minerals. I must caution you, however. Don't get either Jeanne Ann or me started, or you will be too busy to do anything except answer questions. I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in IN and have worked at a large State Mental for 281/2 years with some teaching time at IU at Kokomo IN and private practice in my home town. If you have any questions, I will try to answer them. ly, I think your information is much more important than mine. Welcome to this great support group. There are several people here with expertise in many areas. I'm certain you will enjoy being part of the group. Mike Gray.
Guest guest
Dear Mike, Thank you for your warm welcome..I really appreciate it, sincerely. Don't worry about overwhelming me with questions--I'm glad to help as much as possible. I guess my choice of profession is indicative of my desire to improve the lives of others. Since I've lost my patient population when I stopped working in 1995, I've often felt empty, unnecessary to the planet, and generally useless. God has always sent me another mission, just as I've approached " rock bottom " . I guess He still has work for me to do. The best place to bury your sorrows is in a barrel of good deeds to others. I attended some excellent bereavement sessions in the area. You'll have to admit that losing your good health is the same as the death of a loved one. In this case, the former healthy " you " has died. The anger, denial, acceptance, etc. of loss of health certainly parallel Kubler-Ross's stages of death and dying. Your support of the newly diagnosed, or not so newly diagnosed who make the circular trip back to grief when confronted with other losses, cannot be minimized. It's bad enough to feel that your body has betrayed you. We still suffer the social stigma of depression and mental illness, which often prevents us from seeking the help we need. I'm sure you could expound on this ad infinitum. Please, please don't hesitate to ask for my input. I'm just following my newest assignment from the Big Guy (or Big Gal). I'm pleased as punch to be part of such a wonderful group. Dolores (notice that's not Delores) Re: Information offer from Delores > Delores, > > Thanks for your offer to give information about diet.
