It is true that the folks who get their messages via direct e-mail do

not see the messages. However, you are opening yourself up to

greater risk for a virus and for additional junk e-mail by having

direct e-mails from yahoo. I know, I get about 30 junk e-mails a day

and at least one virus a week. I use McAfee to get rid of the

viruses and just delte the junkies.

Ann,

I get my emails from ALL my lists individually. I own and moderate 10

email lists and also am a member of 12 others. I get anywhere from 350 to

500 pieces of email on a daily basis. I'm quick on my Delete key otherwise

I don't think I'd be able to handle the mail volume. I have adequate

protection against Viruses and Worms. If I didn't have Norton 2002, I

would probably go Daily Digest. (You don't receive any attachments on

Daily Digest)

I don't see any ads at all and I'm glad of that. Commercials really ruin

the cyberworld for me.

I use Earthlink as my ISP and use Qualcomm Eudora Light for my email

program. I get VERY FEW pieces of junk mail because those companies have

good protection against spam.

If you do not have a good AntiVirus program installed on your computer and

currently updated, I would recommend you stay on No Mail and continue

reading it from the web site.

Hope this information was helpful.
