Not get upset and leave just because we won't do what she does. This is why I moderate the list. You would be surprised how many people would try to sell you all kinds of things if , Eunice, and I didn't ban some of the messages. She had already left the list when this was written! My comment: " Yes, please discuss, but when people get upset and leave or whatever because we won't go along with their ideas, I consider that quite childish!! " You can take things the way you want. I know quite a few other lists as soon as something is said that the moderator disagrees with the person is automatically banned!! I've been banned and I didn't even realize I said something wrong!!!!!!! I want discussion, but I like to give my views too!! As moderator I should have that privilege without being jumped on! __________________________________________________
Guest guest
I think what was trying to say was that the behavior of any individual can be considered childish if you quit a group because you disagree. I didn't read anything into the conversation that called her childish. We are here to support each other, and have a few laughs. In these trying days we need a laugh, Please lighten up people. Enjoy the holidays and your friends and try not to get so upset at each other. We all have our opinions on what works and doesn't work for us. They are just that, our opinions. If we let someone else's opinion make us angry, then we aren't supporting each other. We should discuss what works and doesn't work, let each other know it doesn't work for us and go on. Diabetes is hard enough without arguing over what works and doesn't work. , you are doing a great job, take care of yourself and do not let things upset you. You need to take care of you. ----- Original Message ----- To: <diabetes > , > > Whether you called her that directly or not, the statement was made > about HER and HER actions. Guest guest
If every word of mine is going to be " judged " by the members, then I don't need this anymore. I had a life of judgement and pain. This list was supposed to help others. It sure isn't helping me. My husband once more asked me what in the world I was doing this list for if it hurt me so much!! I would like to know when these 2 people became " gods " to judge every word I say!?????? Thank you for trying to set the record straight, !! You are " right on " with what I was saying. Maybe I said it wrong!! I guess I will just keep the list and not post!!!!!! --- wrote: > I think what was trying to say was that the > behavior of any individual > can be considered childish if you quit a group > because you disagree. Guest guest
, You have done a lot of good with this list. You have a lot of knowledge and wisdom about Diabetes that helps many people, such as myself a newcomer to this. Nobody can get all their questions answered at one source and make progress. Progress comes from the sharing of knowledge and wisdom from several sources, if we only got our knowledge from one source we would still be living in caves (even tho some people such as the Taliban, and Osama Bin Laden think they are home, they will soon be seeing rubble) we have made major progress so that life is so much easier and nicer than it was 1,000 yrs ago. People, remember that we all have some things in common. (1) We all have Diabetes, are the caregiver for somebody or know someone that has Diabetes. (2) We joined this list for any one of several reasons, among the main reasons are (a) Knowledge, to learn more how to cope with this burden called Diabetes and/or to share our knowledge and experinces. ( Support, the average person that isn't dealing with diabetes doesn't understand the support that is needed to survive. © Understanding, This is a biggie. Diabetes isn't a one size fits all problem, each of us is different and our systems all react differently to our meds and our diets. So if somebody says that they can do something that you can't, be glad for them, because there is probably something that you can eat or do that they can't. We are all here to try and learn as much as we can. We can't try all the different meds/diets combonations but if we all share what we have found that works for us, then it may make it easier for somebody else to find what works for them. If one of us wins this battle then we all win. So if there is something that somebody says that you don't agree with or doesn't fit you, just remember that we are all different. I would like to see more people post and share thier knowledge and experinces so that I might get more ideas as to what might work for me. I guess what I'm saying is this, Let's all just get along and be glad for someone else's victories and support them on the days that they are down. There is enough stresses involved with dealing with Diabetes that we don't need to be adding to the stresses that our fellow Diabetics have to endure. , I for one hope to see you continue to post and share with the rest of us. Take Care All Happy Holidays Tim ---------------------------------
Guest guest
Tim, Very well said. DITTO from me too. I'm glad created this list. I don't post a lot because I own and moderate a few email lists of my own and don't have a lot of time on my hands. But, as a diabetic, I appreciate this list and all the knowledge about this disease from people like , Madge, Eunice, yourself and several others. Keep up the good work, . Guest guest
nANCY: yOU NEVer say anything wrong. I trust your advice and support. I am just reading my email now. I'm not sure what happened but you are the best. I hope you are feeling better and your son is doing well and on the mend as well. I have been working crazy hours so I haven't been as diligent about your group as I should be. Guest guest
Thanks Marie for your vote of confidence. I guess I should have put a little more thought into my responce as it was taken wrong. I have to be more careful with words. I am so upset about my son. Still no news!! --- Marie Hagan wrote: > nANCY: yOU NEVer say anything wrong. I trust your > advice and support.
