Guest guest
post I sent you on 1/4/02 just goes to show we are all saying the same thing Jim. We all will help, and don't forget it! Hi Jim, I feel for you and your situation. It breaks my heart to hear that your wife didn't take the 'for worse' part of the wedding vows seriously. It is a very common occurrence however, sad but true. I do think you are in the right place as far as support is concerned however I would need to know more about what you are receiving for treatment. Why can't you swallow? Are you being treated by the circle of doctors, being the pain clinic anesthesiologist, physical therapy and physiologist? It is vital, in my opinion to have a physiologist. What are you taking for meds? I think your decision to not be with this new woman in your life is a selfless one, however I strongly disagree. She most likely loves you too and would be a great support to you, as your past wife should have been. Sorry I say it like I see it. Jim, I have improved over the last 4 years, it is possible I am proof. There are things you can do, like try to get rid of the walker slowly, a little every day, I still have that old runners mentality, just do it. I believe this is why I am so much better. Last winter I was in bed, with a cooler by my bed, I could barley walk. Now I am doing almost anything I want, including dancing on New Years! So, Jim there is hope and I will help.
