I was on Urso for a few months immediately after diagnosis but went

of the medication for about a year waiting for the study to begin so

I could qualify. I figured since there has not been much proven

benefit it wouldn't hurt to be off for awhile. I have only had 1

biopsy and it went well for me but I know it is a big deal based on

how reluctant doctors are to do it. In order to qualify you must

have had a biopsy withing 12 months. When I was enrolled it was 12

months and a week. They thought they would have to do another but

were able to get approval since it was so close. In my short time on

Urso I had no side effects so I am optomistic that will be the case

again.

already,1800mg, but my doctor,Dr. Sorrell, of the University of

Nebraska Medical Center has moved me up to the high dosage, 2700mg

any way. I have been on this since Ocober and dont seem to be having

any trouble with it. In a way I am glad I am not in the study as I

don't really like the liver biopsies.
