Subclincal means that the medical condition is not exactly overtly abnormal, but there are symptoms even though there is a lack of correlation in test results. In subclinical hypothyroidism, for example, the Free T3 and Free T4 are in the normal ranges, but the TSH is borderline hypo. There may be a problem, but it is minimal enough that most people won't run to the doctor for treatment. But that doesn't mean it shouldn't be treated. It definitely should be. Nan, your healing is going exactly as most women experience it. I did not see any real progress in my healing for over 18 months. I saw so little that I doubted I was getting better. Please don't make the mistake that thinking that you are going to feel noticeably better in short order after the diflucan pills are done. You have alot of healing to do yet. I know you

probably don't want to hear things like that when you have a family waiting for you to get better. I had 4 kids, a husband, and right after explant he left to go start a new business in a city 8 hours away! I was on my own for over 9 months trying to taking care of my kids, sell a house, and work nights as a waitress because we had no income. Looking back on that time, I don't know how I got through because I felt like dying every day. But we survive....we find ways. Try not to be impatient with healing...you still have a long road ahead. Hormones have to get back into balance (if they ever do), the immune system has to quit being whacked out, and everything needs time to settle back into a normal function. Give it time. You may experience good days and bad days, and it may get to be quite a roller coaster ride for awhile. I don't want to

discourage you at all, and you may in fact start feeling better very soon. But if you don't, please don't wonder why you aren't getting better. Take steps to treat any bacterial, viral and fungal issues. Work on this as a way of life, because it is not a one step treatment. It is lifelong. I'm better now, but as Rogene, Lynda and others have said, this becomes a balancing act, and I've pretty much accepted that as something I have to be aware of the rest of my life. I think we all have to get to that place as we heal. Patty I cried as I read your post. I know that you are right and I

have gone back and read and re read your story you posted. I have

been sick for two years, and it is not going to get better in a

month or two. I too have children, five kids 13 and under, so it is

very taxing. I can't cook dinner every night, and just don't feel

good most of the time so taking care of them is hard. I have pretty

much isolated myself in the house so that I can use whatever energy

I do have to care for them and not be used up on other things. I

probably do have to email the dr about the one breast though, it is

not right. Thanks for the constant support, this group has helped a

Just rest stop worrying, it will only make things worse, it takes

time, these nasty infections take their toll. I had a hematoma in my

left breast after capsule removal 6 months agao and I was so sure it

was not going to go away on its own. But you know what it eventually

did, just leave it alone and as hard as it is to trust the Dr. dare I

say it? Keep your eye on things and leave your hands off if that is

what she told you. If you mess with it you can make things worse. You

will get better in time. stress, stress, stress it makes it so hard

I am so sorry that you are struggling, I didn't remember that you

have 5 children, I have two and can barely take care of them, My son

is 17 and he is harder tahn my 9 year old. I feel so much for you, I

know what you mean about conserving your energy. Do you have anybody

that can come and help out for a little while, even a teenage niece

or somebody with alot of evergy tlike that? I just feel so much for

you right now I know how much our kids can drain us, wow do your

older ones help out? I know they must be doing what they can. Can you

maybe get a white board together and put some ideas for household

thigns or fun things for them to do. They probably need to have some

soimple fun things in the house to do as well, I was wathcing Super

Nanny last night, They put animal names on post it notes and everyone

posted it to their foreheads and the person had to guess what animal

was on their heads, it was cheap funny game to play young and old had

fun, I am praying for you and your family,

-Believe me I have prayed and prayed for some help but I do let my

older one help and he is terrific. He is super responsible and I

have had to ask him to help in the last year. My mom will sometimes

take the older ones but the younger ones are very labor intensive as

all young ones are! Honestly, that is what is making it so hard for

me. They just wear me out, and I am not at all overdoing it, I have

let a lot go and just do the minimum. My husband works of course

and he does a lot with the kids, but I am really in charge most

nights (he works late). Thanks so much for your kind words, it does

help as I have told no one about this so it is very isolating.

Nan, You'll find quite a bit of information with a websearch for "breast implants subclinical infection". It can range from minor to major. . . The good thing is that Dr. Kolb is on top of it! She knows how to handle it. If they would only do studies of women who have breast implants and had gotten sick, we'd have better information on how to recover from the breast implant experience. . . Unfortunately, they apparently don't want to know - since they prefer to think breast implants are "safe".. What I do know is that bhe body has an incredible ability to heal itself if it's given what it needs to heal. . . and things that make it sick are avoided. Please keep trying the vaious healing modalities . . keep track of which ones work for you and which ones don't . .. as well as how you're feeling along the way. It's tough wilh little ones around to find some quiet time for yourself . .. but you need to . ..even if it's only 15 minutes to meditate on healing and beauty. The mind/body connection is incredible! . . . Dwelling on negative thoughts makes things worse. . . Fear makes things. worse. . . With the weather warming up, maybe you can take the kids to the park and enjoy the beauty of nature with the kids. ( or whle they'er playing). When I saw that you had not told anyone that you are sick from your breast implants...my heart stopped. That is why our Ilena wrote the article called "The Silent Epidemic". Many women suffer in silence and this is not good, you need to tell your friends. They will help you to get through this...if they are true friends. When I found out that it was my implants that were killing me, I told everyone...even the mail man. My grand-children all know that my implants made me sick. They used to come and stay with us and the research was everywhere, this made them aware of what these devices can do. My daughter-in-law is a lawyer, and she was so angry that she said that I should sue their pants off...this I did.

Honey, I would never want to hurt your feelings, but when you tell people, it helps. Some of our friends have become very angry at the Government for allowing this to happen to so many women.

-Believe me I have prayed and prayed for some help but I do let my older one help and he is terrific. He is super responsible and I have had to ask him to help in the last year.
