I use Natrol brand melatonin - it has cellulose which is legal and stearic

acid which I'm not sure about but seems related to magnesium stearate which is

legal. Anyone know for sure?

Melatonin..... in and of itself..... is not necessarily illegal. The Kirkman

melatonin IS illegal because of illegal additives. Not every single supplement

has been included on the list on pecanbread.com ...... just many of the Kirkman

products and some others. Look around for a melatonin without illegals and it

will be perfectly fine. I know some others on the list have found some that are

legal..... so hopefully, they'll post what brand.

Melatonin illegal?

I'm new to list - still reading and learning. My son is GFCFSF and has

responded very well but from what we have read I think SCD is the next step

for us. One question (probably the first of many :-) - on the SCD web site

melatonin is listed as illegal. Does anyone know why? My son has a

chromosome disorder which causes his natural melatonin to 'disfunction' (it

is genetically altered) and we use melatonin for sleep aid. Don't know how

we would get along without it.

We use KAL brand melatonin.

It does not have any illegal ingredients.

That's the one I use also - I misspoke - we used to use Natrol but switched.

So I don't know for sure about Natrol.
