Has he gradually gone down hill, or did it come on suddenly? I'm not experienced with the SCD, but I'm just trying to fit the pieces together as I have done so many times for my own son! Guest guest
, Does he have any known bacteria/yeast problems? That could cause die- off with enzymes. However, when you say it has been a *gradual* decline, that doesn't sound typical. You would expect it to be as bad in the beginning as now with die-off. Try stopping the enzymes for a couple days and see if he improves. Then try the enzymes again at 1/2 whatever you are giving now. If he starts to get worse again, then you know the enzymes aren't appropriate for him at this time. Does he have any known problems with fruits? Sometimes enzymes with papain and bromelain cause the jumpy negative hyperness. .
Guest guest
Hi Tracey, My son has been on the Thropps since 27 December. I also noticed that he became super stimmy and a lot of ASD behaviours re surfaced. I reduced his dose to 1/3 capsule at each main meal and hung in there. I'm sure you know hard that is. Any way, by the the time we were nearing the end of the second week, he started to improve. I also pulled some foods that I was suspicious about. He is still stimming but not as bad as before. His eye contact is better than it was before the enzymes. He can now blow a whistle, something he couldn't do before SCD and the boost that I think the enzymes may have given him. He also says a few more words and today his child care centre told me that he played with another child. So HANG IN THERE and give it all a chance to come right. I personally find it very depressing at times beacuse its a delicate balance that each of us has to find to correct our precious childrens compromised bio chemistry. I pray the Lord holds each of our children in His hands and helps us all through this nightmare. My prayers are with you. > Hi all. I apologize if this is OT, but I need some feedback.
