Guest guest
I justed wanted to inform you that we had a personal chef come to the house. I was falling behind with everything (housecleaning, homeschooling, house maintenance, pets) with the cooking. What I wanted was for her to come over and make a big stash of our favorite foods and store them as well as make a big stash of staples.. My kids all have BIG appetites and are always hungry and I just couldn't keep up. I am pleased with the chef. Her name is Herrick and if anyone is interested in a chef in the EAST BAY AREA of California let me know c.char@.... She is well informed about SCD and in fact has a nephew with ASD on a special diet too. (Not SCD yet). She has a lot of the pecanbread recipes already. And she has a copy of the cookbooks from Digestive Wellness as well as BTVC. Carolyn
Guest guest
actually she is a personal chef. She is professionally trained from the culinary arts school. She goes to people's homes and cooks for them and cleans up afterwards. She plans the meals and shops for you if you want. She bring her own cookware etc. It saves you time in the long run. I chose someone professional because I wanted to be sure she knew what she was doing. When it came to the SCD diet I didn't want to take chances of getting some teenager doing it and making us sick by using the wrong ingredients or whatever. Carolyn Re: SCD Chef EAST BAY CA > I justed wanted to inform you that we had a personal chef come to the house. We are doing the same thing for us. My sister in law will prepare lots of bread etc, do some shopping and also knows scd and will come appr. once a month. This we will pay out of the personal-care-budget that my son has (govenment money). I sincerely like the title you give her: personal chef. Marjan mom to Nick, 7, this sunday one great year of SCD Netherlands ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Guest guest
I just gave her a bunch of recipes off of the pecanbread website and had her cook mass quantities. In a few weeks I 'll have her back to make staples. I am a horrible cook. I make a lot of messes and constantly burning myself and the food. She did make the peanut butter cake for my daughter''s birthday in a few weeks. She wrapped and labelled everything and she placed it in the freezer. Guest guest
About $30 an hour. You can do the shopping for her prior and she will cook the whole time. YOu will be able to get a much cheaper rate by using a teenager or grandma or someone like that. Carolyn Re: SCD Chef EAST BAY CA WOW! How much $$ did she charge?? > > > I justed wanted to inform you that we had a personal chef come to the house. > I was falling behind with everything (housecleaning, homeschooling, house > maintenance, pets) with the cooking.
