We have a lot of good things to check out in the archives, but also ask questions. I probably won't be able to help as much as I would like because I am going for valve heart surgery on Tuesday and am scared terribly!! The last one only lasted 5 years and they had problems putting that one in. I'm sure the group will be glad to help you! __________________________________________________

Guest guest
Hi Kitty- I too am adopted. meant to write to you right away but got sick (female problems) and ended up in ER with hemmorage and needing blood tranfusions. Looks like I need a hysterectomy- YUCK! You and I will both " make it " (smile). Family history isn't always preventative. Since I adore my parents I have never cared to search for anyone else but that is my own personal history and is not important here. Take care and much love- ---------- To: <diabetes > Subject: A little about me............ Date: Fri, Oct 26, 2001, 10:14 AM First of all Thank you for allowing me to join. I was just diagnosed with type II diabetes. I'm on pills twice a day and start classes Monday. I will probably be asking you a lot of questions for I am new to this. I was adopted so I do not know family history of diabetes. I'm the first in my family to have it. It's really scary to me now but with you support I will make it. About 11 eleven years ago, I had to have a D & C. That took care of my problem, though my bleeding was not as bad as yours. We'll all keep you in our prayers and send positive thoughts and maybe the D & C will take care of the problem for you. In the meantime, take care of yourself. Get plenty of rest. Do let us know how you are doing. Hugs Eunice
Guest guest
Hi Eunice- I am having a D & C a week from Monday. My GYN won't do the hysterectomy till my hemoglobin is normal. I was at 9.4 today after 2 transfusions and need to get to 12 or better. She is going to give me injections to stop my horrible periods for a month or two to try to stop the heavy bleeding. She says there is no way I can build up my blood with all the bleeding I am doing every three weeks. I was at 7 - hemoglobin- when I was transported by ambulance to emergency room this weekend. Even after 2 transfusions I was at 9.9 and yesterday I dropped back to 9.4. I am ok but very weak feeling. Everything is an effort. Looks like January for the major surgery. ---------- From: ERWachter@... To: diabetes Subject: Re: A little about me............
