Guest guest
Lynda, If apple juice gives you heartburn, try taking some digestive enzymes daily. The put hydrocloric acid in our stomach to help our food digest better, did wonders for so many who have acid reflux..... Acid Reflux and heartburn is when our stomach don't have enough enzymes to bread our food down so it comes back up and we get hearburn.... Might be worth a try..... ~AOL now offers free email to everyone. Find out more about what's free from AOL at AOL.com.

Guest guest
Lynn, There is so much hidden sugar in things. You have to check every label for fructose and every other form of sugar. Guest guest
Lynn, Absolutely it is beneficial to take acidophilus on a daily basis. It is just one of many beneficial probiotics that most people are seriously deficient in. The question is, how are you getting it? I think people are generally clueless about what it takes to create a healthy gut. That was why Dr. Jordan Rubin became so famous so fast....he understood that digestive issues are rampant in America, because we are not taking care of our digestive system! Traditional cultures ate fermented foods on a daily basis. Some cultures in the world still do..particularly the Asians. Fermented foods are full of healthy gut flora. There are dozens of healthy bacteria in the healthy gut....acidophilus is just one of them. I would not just take it alone. I would try to get as many of the spectrum as possible. There are several ways to do that....I myself have partaken of kefir on a daily basis for about 6 months. You can eat yogurt daily, (but it has to be the good kind with live cultures, not the cheap kind made with gelatin and no active cultures.) You can take Garden of Life probiotic pills. You can eat raw sauerkraut (not cooked in the process of making it, and not made with vinegar), and other raw fermented foods that you make at home. A good cookbook for learning how to make traditional foods for eating a healthy diet is "Nourishing Traditions" by Sally Fallon. It is not your typical cookbook, but brings us back to the days when foods were made from scratch and abound in nutrients. Guest guest
Patty, I am taking Colostrum (2 pills a day). My diet is horrible! I didn't realize how bad until finding this group! Prior to getting sick in December I was drinking Pepsi/Coke everyday (drank minimal water daily). I was a coffee drinker too. I love CHOCOLATE! I eat peanuts, love pasta, mashed potatoes.... After reading the posts on this site, it is a wonder I am so sick! Add my diet on top of my implants and you have a recipe for disaster! Again, I am completing my Bachelors (age 34) and working full-time. So, my time is very limited when it comes to researching a new diet. As soon as school is finished though, I will get going to doing the right thing! I also need to get on probiotics (it sounds). You all have given me so much hope! Thank you SOOOO much!! Guest guest
Hi Lynda, I would love the book. I will e-mail you my home address personally. Just let me know how much and I can send you money. Thanks so much!! Dr. Huang was wonderful. She was apologetic that I was having so may health issues due to the implants (even though she wasn't the one who implanted them). She was so personable, caring and understanding. Her explanation of the surgery helped ease my anxiety. Her prices are also VERY reasonable. I was quoted a higher price over the phone but the price is $3k less than I planned. Good news... I did not need a lift. I will have the explant w/ the EN BLOC mid April! I am counting down the days!! Lynn > > > > > > >I have noticed the book " The Yeast Connection " mentioned several > > > >times. Guest guest
Yes, Dr. Huang is quite a bit less than many of the others, and I would trust her completely. She has a wonderful bedside manner. If $$ are an issue, I always recommend women do a consult with her. It can save them thousands. I think Denver is a bit cheaper for plastic surgery than many places. Don't know why. I know if I had to have plastic surgery done for some reason, that is where I would go. Lynda At 07:37 PM 3/10/2007, you wrote: >Hi Lynda, > >I would love the book. Guest guest
Oh, and doesn't Dr. Huang's work speaks for itself Lynda? She shared a binder full of photos of her work, her explant results are amazing - better than I would have thought. Just a thought... it is going to be so nice to hug somebody without me worrying that they are going to KNOW or feel my ROCK like implants!! I will want to hug more often (what a nice thought). I am used to doing a half hug, offering a hip/side type hug or caving in my chest so it doesn't touch the other person! Guest guest
Yes, I remember several nurses saying that, including Kathy ston, when she saw her after photos. She really works hard to make women look good. One of my implants was rock hard in 10 days. Wish we could convince women of that before they got implants. Our society is so sick about how women should look. Women compare themselves to airbrushed models and movie stars. I hate how young girls try to be wispy thin and think they have to have breasts that are abnormally large. It just makes me ill. Guest guest
I hope came out OK, she was supposed to see Dr. Huang at 4:00 P.M. and it is 5:15 now, she should check in soon. I put my son in the hospital this afternoon, he has a huge absess in the side of his throat, goes up and down, we don't know how far. He is having a cat scan any minute and probably surgery this evening. He has been having problems for years, had a barium swallow, and endoscope, nobody found it. Well, they found it now. Besides that, it is pretty quiet today on the group. Lynda At 09:22 PM 3/10/2007, you wrote: >Oh, and doesn't Dr. Huang's work speaks for itself Lynda? Guest guest
Lynn, My son has a progressive neurological condition called Regional Pain Syndrome or Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy. He will never get better. This problem with the abscess started over 3 years ago but this last year really has been giving him problems. He has felt like he couldn't breathe at times and could not swallow, but it escaped everyone who checked him out. Yesterday it kept him from eating or drinking hardly anything, and he did not want to go to the emergency room, so early this morning I took him to Urgent Care. They stuck an IV in him, gave him antibiotics, steroids, and demerol. Then they sent him to an Ear, Nose and Throat doctor who immediately said he had to have it out. I took him home to take care of a few things and then straight to the hospital, where he is tonight, still not had surgery, but probably in the morning. I am sure he will be Ok, they have shrunk the inflammation with the antibiotics and steroids. Maybe that is the plan before removing it.
