Hi,

I generally don't make the time to look at the pics - maybe i went to that

section once before - but I did the other day (I'll have to go back again to see

's, and may one day get around to posting my own).... I must say I loved

them.... especially the ones from happy times with our loved ones. Joan you

have the cutest dog, and the picture of you and your Mom filled me with good

thoughts.

Sending many hugs,

Helene

Hi Helene,

I think that in the more than one year that I have been a member of this forum,

I only looked at pictures once. Then last week, I went into the folder and was

looking at them and saw what a good thing that it is. It is not only good to

see the faces of others from this forum, but to formally see all the LOs both in

the present and their better days. It is a tribute to all that have this

disease, as well as a tribute to us members. Although Mom has passed, I still

check the posts and sometimes respond, I find it real tough emotionally

sometimes, but I think it is therapeutic for me to heal and to understand now

some of the things that I didn't understand while she was alive.

When I find some more time, I am going to add to the folder of my Mom with

photos that were scanned for her tribute at her viewing. It's good to see

sometimes how a special person had evolved from a baby to a teenager, adult,

parent, and also the decline from both age and LBD.

I posted Dolly's pictures not only because I love her, but she is very special

to me. I got her two days after I wss fully moved to my new home in North Las

Vegas, and she was named Dolly - a nickname for Dolores (Mom)and she realy

helped me through some very hard days. She knows when I am sad and will lick

away my tears. She also seems to sense the spiritual presence around Mom's

organ when I am very troubled and/or thinking about Mom. I think I'll keep her!

Hugs,

Joan

Thank you so much for your kind note.

I find it very comforting to be able to post some of my feelings here in this

forum. I may cry a whole flood of tears some times when I am writing, but I

think that they are good tears...tears that tell me that I had a wonderful Mom

and I have absolutely no regrets as far as my relationship with her. Yes...I do

miss her, but it is a relief that she is freed of sickness and whole again. I

hope to be with her and my dad some day!

Hugs from me and puppy kisses from Dolly
