JeanneAnne:

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I smoked my last cigarette on November 5th,

1998. I sure am glad I quit. How did you do

it? I used Zocor plus the Nicotrol inhaler for

when I was really having a nicotine fit. It took

me about 3 months, then weaned off the

Zocor and Nicotrol completely. I was very

very easy for me to quit this way. I would have

done it earlier had I known how easy it would

be. The hardest step is making the decision

to quit.

Happy 4th! I too would be very interested in

a PLS get-together next summer. Isn' t Iowa

sort of centrally located? Hint. Hint.

Love, Laurel

C:

Why do you feel that you have to ask ME where we should meet? You just

tell me when & where AND WE WILL BE THERE!

What ever you decide is OK with us. Are you going to provide the

entertainment???

Hi Rita,

I miss you!!! Actually, I was thinking the very same thing about your

smoking question. I always attributed my PLS to quitting smoking. I quit

in June of 1985. My father told me " you'd better not quit--you'll get

sick " .....and look what happened to me!!! How many other PLS'ers are past

smokers?? Take care everyone. And , let me know when and where the

next PLS gathering will take place. I understand you had to fight Rita for

the honor of being the chairperson of this gathering. I hope you can

measure up ! LOL

Now Sue, things are pretty quiet here and we have all been behaving like

adults (boring), so please don't get C., aggrevated you know how

he gets.

I had smiked for over 40 years, and when I quit I felt so much better.

I use to cough like a 90 year old, it was awful. I would be coughing

and smoking at the same time. Than my grandson looked up at me

and said " please Grandma, don't smoke I don't want yo to die " , that was

it for me, never smoked again. I never realized how bad a smoker smells

until I stopped.

I am sure C., will do a good job (he'd better).

Talk to you soon.

Sue,yeah she was trying to horn in on my show but I refused to let her

participate in this after what she did with that fiasco in Quechee!I'm

shooting for the 3rd. or 4th.week of Oct.let you know next week.By the way

who is it that said there were only 800 people with PLS,according to my

Doc.that number is more like 5000+.Well that should stur up some conversation.

Stay well Sue,my best to Gerry,C.

C: WHAT DID I DO IN QUECHEE? I was a very good girl (except when

we were out to dinner and Sue & I borrowed flowers from the restaurant

grounds), but we did put them back when we were finished taking

pictures. There you go again trying to get me in trouble. WATCH IT! I

have connections!!!
