Guest guest
Hi Penny (and others), I am having a bit of energy and coming off "lurker" status for a bit - I have been following the discussions for the most part, but always seem to run out of steam when it comes to replying. I did want to say welcome to the new "members" - as per the others, I am sorry you have to be here but this is a great resource as well as support group. I have also been thrilled to hear of all the new families and families-to-be. When I was diagnosed in 1996 we had no kids, and I had to think about whether that was a good idea - but good sense prevailed, and ended up with triplets (or as Penny calls them, the troublets). They are now almost 3, and troublets is definitely a more appropriate description. They are exhausting, especially when dont feel great, but certainly have never regretted for a second having them. I suppose like most I fret about the future, but the present is sure great. I attached fairly recent pic of the herd (sorry, I cant help it!) It has been almost 3 years since I had a sphincterotomy, stent, and bile duct dilation. Overall I think I have been doing pretty well, but over the last year have had an increasing number of cholangitis attacks (up to one about every 2-4 months now), more recently some blockages, fatigue and a bit of itching, and some URQ pain. So I have a feeling that may be time to revisit the bile duct dilation and stenting. I cannot complain overall since I am having a much easier time that others, and hope that I still have a good bit of time before facing transplant - but I do find the more constant reminders that I have PSC a bit depressing and makes the mental side of this quite a bit harder. That is my whining for the day. Wishing everyone the best for the holiday season, UC 1978, PSC dx 1996 (but enzymes up since about 1990). -----Original Message-----From: PR Weller Sent: Monday, December 16, 2002 4:42 PMTo: Subject: /Barb smallpox/part IIThanks to and Barb for weighing in on the smallpox issue! , how are the troublets?
