So my SO and I were talking this weekend about moving to Austin, TX

within the next 2 years. I mentioned that to my Nada last night...

nada: " Well *I* don't like Austin, TX so you'll hate it there... so YOU

can't move there... " .

me: " When were you in Austin, TX? "

nada: " I've never been there but it's hot and all cowboys " .

me: staring blankly trying not to laugh

nada: " Besided, {SO} is black and that's not safe in TX " .

Good grief.

Wish I wasn't still stunned by these conversations... but hey, at least

I now find them funny instead of crying.
