Hi

Thanks for the input. I did not think about this myself with everything else going on. I will do this Monday when school re-opens here. Some of the schools are open today but I think Hudson City Schools are the only ones going back on Monday. I got up and turned on the TV because Kalab is supposed to go back today--he is in Head Start and there was not a delay listed. IT S***** here last night after it rained so I am going to take it with all the delays that are listed on the TV that the roads are very slick.

Dorothy ..Notify the guidance counselor at Chris's school .. you can do soanonymously if you don't want to cause a problem in the family.Just send a note to the counselor saying you are concerned for Chris'seyesight and believe he needs his vision checked. Make sure you tellthem of the problem he has with not being able to tell letters apart(such as the P and Q). They can do a simple vision check there at theschool and if he does need glasses, the county school nurse canrecommend it.If after all of this, still refuses to buy him glasses, someoneneeds to remind her that knowing your school age child needs glasses andnot arranging to get them is child neglect and puts her in jeopardy ofbeing charged with such.By contacting the guidance counselor, if his eye sight turns out to beokay, but he still shows he is having problems with telling thedifference between p and q .. it will alert the school that needsto be tested for dyslexia (a learning disability).Either way .. the kid needs help .. and no matter what .. someone needsto step in and say ..
