Guest guest
((((((((((((((((((Carole)))))))))))))))) We don't mind questions----in fact a lot of times it helps us to get answers that we need too! You can have both hypo and hyper symptoms at the same time......also some symptoms are primarily one, but can be seen in the other(like thyroid eye disease:primarily related to hyperthyroid(Graves)but can be seen with hypothyroid .And then with Hashimoto's you can have mixed symptoms also. Yes, the way you are feeling can very well be thyroid related.....I have had that headspinning feeling a lot, especially if my thyroid hormone levels are low.I have gotten tremors that feel like you are shaking from the inside out, mostly after a little(very little)amount of exertion---I was unable to stand or walk more than a few minutes without getting the shaking and feeling like I was going to pass out. Some of that for me could be a related condition-hemolytic anemia. This is also symptomatic of Fibromyalgia and CFIDS, diseases that are related. We always enjoy hearing from you!The members of our " family " here are always welcome to post questions, or updates or share their woes or joys! hugs Feisty(ThyroFeisty) very proud group co-owner More Question - Is this my Thyroid Gland? > > > Sorry it's me again with more questions. Guest guest
I've had the inner shivers, the tingling and numb legs, and the dizziness. The first 3 are common thyroid symptoms. The dizziness is usually an adrenal symptom, but un(der)treated hypothyroidism stresses the adrenals and makes people have adrenal symptoms, so it is very common. What hyper symptoms do you have? Just the racing pulse? That is also common with adrenal fatigue. The tingly feeling is not necessarily hyper. They mention a tingly hyper feeling but people say that is more like an electric shock - the hypo tingle is not like that. They call it hypothyroid neuropathy, it is a numb tingle, not a shock tingle. Jan Carole Rutherford wrote: >Sorry it's me again with more questions. Guest guest
Oh God thank you so much I think that I would go round the bend if I could not post up how I am feeling at the moment. So really thanks. OK so I will still feel dreadful BUT if I know why then it helps. You have both actually summed up my sypmtoms to perfection so I know that I am not going mad here. I am off to check the hyper stats again so that I can see how many from that list I am ticking off at the moment. Thanks again - I will return. Guest guest
At the moment I certainly have many more of the hypo symptoms than the hyper ones. Apart from the rapid pulse I am often unable to it still even though I am feeling shattered I have to be up and moving but apart from that the other symptoms are from the hypo list - including really heavy periods. I have realised now that how I felt last night and agin today is probably because yesterday afternoon I spent 4 hours with two parents who have a son who has just been diagnosed with autism. I co-run a support and advice group and meeting up with new parents is always exhausting but boy did the two I was with yesterday have some questions and to be truthful they are having a really hard time of it. So although I was only talking I felt brain drained by the time I got home and was shattered. Then again this morning I decided that the house needed cleaning and set about it. So maybe I need to listen to my body at the moment. Thanks once more the support. Carole
Guest guest
I'm almost 100% sure that it is BOTH hypo symptoms, but primarily adrenal insufficiency symptoms. Reason: Long long ongoing stress, plus probably genetic tendencies toward autoimmune, but the first I think would be the primary reason. You have not one, but TWO autistic children. This has got to be major stress on you, over the yrs. Those are anxiety attacks, but they're not just emotional, they are primarily from spent adrenals, with thyroid, to boot. I remember when I would make a simple trip to the grocery store, during the sorry marriage and terrible things happening. My hands would even shake when I signed the check, plus I felt enclosed and smothering in crowds and when I had to do a planned event, or something that I knew that I HAD to do. They can talk breakdown all they want to, but, to me, it is ALL physical. After all, that's what a breakdown is, a point where the brain and body just can't take any more.
