Guest guest
Happy New Year ! I just went through so many posts to find how to use Braggs Vinegar and you have so much info in this post. I keep adding things to my regime and this is something inexpensive so I will add it soon, like this week. I hope it's okay in alkaline water? I get confused as to the purpose of different things All these different approaches to health... I think if we'd have been brought up on any of these healthier diets instead of the unhealthy American diet we were brought up on, we'd be doing much better. When I was in my 20's I was doing macrobiotics and I was sooo healthy, I felt incredible, but after a lifetime of stress and some bad things in my diet, though I tried to keep it healthy well here I am doing low carb to heal the damage. Take care. Love, Jean > > I joined a couple book clubs this past year, one being homestylebooks.com and the other qpb.com Both are from the same company, and you can join both at the same time. > > I had actually joined their first club crafterchoice.com then was referred....all by the same book warehouse. > > Anyhow you get several books, depending on if you just get the intro or buy your first at a discount so you only have to buy 1 or 2 in the next year. Plus they have the best deals mostly on weekend... like 50% off/ or buy one get one free' or buy 2 get one free... I even had one buy as many as you want at 60% off. > > I will admit I was hesitant to " JOIN " a membership club after having problems with Columbia house years ago but this is the best one especially if you do the service online. > > OK Now to the subject line... if you want to you can also do what I've done. If you aren't sure you want to Buy a book, look up your current library and request a book. Luckily here we can do this also thru the local library website. I don't have a current library card but my husband can read a book a day.. I'm not talking small paper book, but huge hard covers with over 500 pgs...so he goes to the library all the time. > > Well I went to search out this Doctor Maoshing Ni' Second Spring and apparently in high demand, because it has to go back Wednesday after only having 2 weeks. ME--I'm not a speed reader, wish I was...but I read enough to know this book is very impressive. > > And in high demand, as I'm not allowed to renew. Apparently it's on hold for someone else. > > This books reg. cost is about 17.99 membership savings down to 16.19 And this doctor has another book also available diet plan for under 12 membership price. By buying these two books this weekend I get a choice of a 3rd book for free and meet my obligation. The 2nd book is a 8 week Secrets of Longevity: Dr. Mao's 8-Week Program. > > What caught my eye is on page 21 of the Second Spring: > quoting: > " In Chinese medicine, rich foods like dairy, meat, fats, sweets, and alcohol are said to cause phloem & dampness in the body. When they consume excessive amounts of these things they develop a variety of symptoms such as sinus and chest congestion, postnasal drip, a sensation of heaviness, joint pain and stiffness. Cholesterol, brain fog, fatigue depression and of course obesity. Most people don't have to completely eliminate but just to cut down on the quantity and frequency of consumption you will improve how you feel over all. and you'll also lighten both your weight and your mood. > > This seemed to hit on the subjects were bringing up here. > > > Ha-ha the next page goes into " Filtered Water " Drink up.... how ironic is that. > " You will want to make sure you are drinking the most pure form of water. ....Tap water is filled with contaminants, antibiotics and number of other unhealthy substances. " > > This book is easy, short -get to the point subject. > > More topics: > When toxins go, beauty glows > Apple cider vinegar: drink it and dab it. {Liver detoxification, normalizes digestive juices and reduces intestinal bloating, Mix 1 tbsp of organic vinegar , apple cider kind, with 12 oz of warm water and drink in the morning on an empty stomach, add a little honey if the taste is to strong. > > Pg 47 states we should cook our raw vegetables, even if just a little as it will make the properties / vital nutrients to work better in our digestive track. > > wow I would never have guessed. Pg 49 recommends NOT to EAT and Drink at the same time. Have your drinks in between meals. Apparently drinking cuts back the operation your stomach produces in breaking down the meals as well as absorption of nutrients. Wait at least 30 min before drinking after eating. > > > Bitter Melon also known as balsam pear traditional remedy for obesity, diabetes, and infections. Its not a fruit, it's more like squash, you take out the seeds and cook with meats. It's an acquired taste. > > Tap on your thymus, the small area between your breast 50-100 time's in the morning and night as acupressure will stimulate the thymus and help it work better. {pg. 86} > > Chestnuts to ward off the Flu, { I have been taking horse chestnut as a vein circulation from gnc, and since running out of this about a week ago I've noticed my leg swelling, migraines increase. Could possibly be coincidental. I won't know till I go back on and see how things improve. } > > Ginseng helps fatigue and sexual drive. I found a box of Ginseng tea that is in special sealed packages I've had for years, I thought it was out of date, but just read that Chinese patrons will pay a fortune for ginseng that is 10 yrs plus as it gets more potent as it ages....wow. > > I'm reviewing this book because it has to go back to the library. But each page has something new. I can see how valuable this will be to own. > > I just wanted to inform you of it as well > > Hope something here will be of help. > ~~LInda~~ >
