Guest guest
I am scheduled for another block on Tues. for my arm. Can you have 2 blocks done at once? One on your arm and one on your leg? Thank you, Donna Beverly wrote: > Donna, my rsd started in my rt wrist wnt to hand fingers & all the way > up my rt arm. Guest guest
Sweetie you know it would make this monster so much easier to take if all the pain doc's we've talked about & some very up on the Subject RSD that would be an easy question. Here again, my doc has never performed 2 blocks at the same time. someone else may tell you different. Ask you doc when you go back & see what he says, if you haven't had a bone scan in a while he might schedule 1 for you to see what's there. 1 thing keep in mind just because the scan doesn't show any evidence of rsd doesn't mean you don't have it. We have one in the grp somewhere you had bone scan done she had rsd rt side & showed rsd on left, but didn't have any symptoms. Wouldn't it be so much easier if our ans. could be brief?? Hang In There & God Bless love bev
Guest guest
I am so freaked out right now. I can't believe that this is spreading like that. My husband said it could be neuropathy. I looked it up on the internet and I have all the symptoms. It starts in your toes (tingling) and then goes up your leg. Will this ever end? I wonder what I did in a former life to piss God off?! I'm only kidding. I'm trying to keep my sense of humor and yes, these drugs are kicking in. Guest guest
Donna, You're supposed to do like I do. Mine is in the left foot and that's what I'm always doing stuff to--so it doesn't spread. In the past couple months I had a big flashlight drop on my big toe and leave a gash/bruise and I'm wondering if it was cracked or something. Then the same month I ran into the vacuum with my foot and it was all bruised up under my 3rd-4th toe. When I go to the podiatrist next week I'm going to have her feel around and see if I might have injured a bone. It sure sounds like it could he RSD spread but I hope not. You should probably have it checked out soon. Love, N. rsd spreading? > Hi everyone. I had my block on Thurs. and my arm seems to be feeling > better. Guest guest
Thanks, . It's so wierd- it comes on in the morning and levels off in the afternoon. I've noticed it for a few days-but am hoping it isn't. Donna Tom Nation wrote: > Donna, > You're supposed to do like I do. Guest guest
Susie, thanks for writing back. I am going into my PCP today(who I work for) to get a b-12 shot and an RX for some blood work. I am a gastric bypass patient and neuropathy in us is common. I need to R/O any vitamin deficiencies. Just another day in paradise. Donna Susie Cozine wrote: Hi Donna, Glad that you feel better. Now, I just read about your toe! We just get it all, don't we? You know I am always afraid of hurting myself, afraid to get more RSD. Now,again I am just stating what pain mgt. told me. You can never have 2 steillate gangleion blocks at the same time. Since I have the RSD in both arms,I had asked about that, this is what he told me." If you have both sides done at the same time, you would not survive". You probably know that anyway, and having 2 as far as, one for the arm and one for the foot. I guess the foot one would be a lumbar nerve block,so I don't know if that is possible or not,but I am sure that someone in this group should know. There seems to be more than just a few people that have it full body. I don't know how they get through each day. With the arms not being what they used to,that is already too much for me sometimes. Just be careful,I am so afraid when I trip or something like that, but try not to think about getting hurt. We can't live our lives in fear. Take Care. Love,Susie! Donna Langan wrote: Hi everyone. Guest guest
Tonia, First off, it wasn't me about having two blocks because mine is just in my foot (I think--sometimes I wonder). Second, when I washed a cat two different times (he had adopted us and was more of an outdoor cat than an indoor) he ran away and never came back! But no way was he coming in after rolling around in the field behind us! That's okay, now we have a sweet indoor cat who gives herself a bath. Socks can be a pain--like the other day I was working on a bulletin board for the nursery at church--and she comes up on the table (where she's not to be) and flops right in the middle of the board. I bet I took her off 3 times before she got banned to the laundry room where her box is so I could work on it w/o her being a pain! I can't read a newspaper on the floor or island w/o her flopping right in the middle of it. You made me tired reading about your w/c experience! I can thank God I didn't have to go that route--wasn't work related! Went to see Nunsense last night--even got a free ticket from the theatre group works with! We went to Fazoli's and then to the theatre. A couple in the group just crack me up and the play is hilarious anyway so anyway one of them has such a hysterical laugh that inbetween the two I got to laughing so hard my stomach hurt and the tears ran down--got two/three days of endorphins I think! Had fun with my daughter in the process! Love, Re: rsd spreading? Susie, If I remember correctly for once.....(no wonder its supposed to be freezing tomorow!) Some one did mention at one time a few months back that you can have one in the upper and one in the lower done at the same time. Was it or was it ......or someone else?? lol. I can't remember who said it for sure! Darn it......that is gonna bug me now, trying to remember who said it! Ok.....gotta go feed Heaven.....she's nibbling on my leg and toes again. She's not scared to let me know when she's hungry though!!!! she'll eitehr nibble on ya, headbutt ya as you are standing, or trip ya when you try to walk!! She got her first bath today too....she pee'd enough last night/this morning to make a 1 inch deep puddle in her tote box (one of those Rubbermaid totes, the 20 gallon size), and so, since her whole bottom underside was soaked and stinky....I put her in the tub with warm water...grabbed Sami's raspberry shampoo....and made Sami hold her in there so I could wash and rinse her! lol...we really could of used another set of hands for that trick! Heaven was just as bad as Crystal is when washing her hair...trying to get out on ya no matter what! After that...she pretty much was a lap goat all day....my LAP! One good thing though....we don't have to force her mouth open any more to put the bottle in...she now opens her mouth herself and latches right on to it! YEAH!!!!!! its so much easier that way...now if she'd just quit trying to headbutt it constantly while you are holding the bottle!
