Guest guest
I'm pretty sure that it was the turkey hot dogs that were legal. I've never ordered them, but I am pretty certain that is what I read a while back. Guest guest
I was under the impression that all Applegate hot dogs are legal. I've been buying the beef ones - they're great - like real hot dogs! > > > I'm pretty sure that it was the turkey hot dogs that were legal. > I've never ordered them, but I am pretty certain that is what I read > a while back. > > Gia > Mom to Jack (4.5) and (almost 2) > > > > > >>Carol.: > >>Is there a specific kind of Applegate hotdog that is considered > legal? > >> > >>, Mom to non ASD, IBD daughter, age 8, whole family SCD 7 > weeks, no > >>Imodium for 5 weeks, Nortryptaline & Imitrex (migraines) other > daughters > >>ages 11 > >>and 4 > >> > >> > >> > >>
Guest guest
Please keep in mind that Applegate Farms hot dogs are not " officially " SCD legal. I don't think they have been added to any sort of official list of legal pre-made foods. From all accounts, from what appears on the label and from other parents who have written to or spoken with the manufacturer...... they " seem " to have no illegals. With that said, I do know that there are some families who have reported on this list that their kids had trouble with them..... and improved after pulling them. I'm not sure that anyone ever accertained why, or what component of the hot dogs was the offender. In any case, whenever you use ANY pre-made product other than what Elaine has declared to be officially legal, please consider pulling them and making your own if your child does not make the progress you were hoping for. It could make a difference. I used the Applegate chicken hot dogs for a while in the beginning but later decided to cut back to all home prepared foods. Patti, mom to Katera, SCD 9 months tomorrow Re: hot dogs? Others will have to respond. I couldn't find it in our current archives and will see if I can get into the Elaine's Children/Lyris files. meanwhile we do have Applegate users here. Make sure you do NOT use Shelton brand.
