Yes, but none of the doctors I've seen thinks they are realted to RA. You

described sores behind your ears? Sounds similar to what I get. Blister like

lesions, very lovely (ha). Waited 4 months to see a dermatologist and had one

biopsied, but no conclusive info came back, so am at square one.

What does your doctor think?

,

If you go into our archives for Feb 20th, posted several articles

on RA and how it affects the skin.

Getting a definite diagnoses would really help so you can start the

correct treatment. Hang in there. They make tapes for people with

sensitive skin. Maybe a different tape would help?

Hi ,

I don't have RA, but I do have Dercum's Disease and Fibro, possibly MS,

and post-polio syndrome. I have VIOLENT skin allergy to anything

adhesive. Last time I had surgery to remove 14 lipomas, 9 of which

were on my back, they forgot at the hospital and applied adhesive

bandages, and by that night I was a real mess!

I tried using the Duragesic patch, but had to stop because of the

adhesive. Just having it on a few hours would leave a rectangular welt

that lasted for days after removing it, even if I used baby oil to

clean the area afterward.

Good luck with the arrythmia--that's not fun either.

Judi in sunny, warm Indiana (but it won't last long)

I have always had problems with tapes or any kind of adhesives. I get

the same reaction you are getting. It has gotten worse with the RA.

Now I have the skin sensitivity and difficulty healing (steroid

induced, I'm sure). That's one thing to keep in mind if you should

ever need to go on Duragesic patches, or any other kind of patch, for

that matter. Tell your doc to try the holter monitor again when it

gets time for your period. If he agrees, ask for skin prep to put on

where the adhesive sticks to the skin ( not the gel of the patch).

Skin Prep comes in a little packet, like alcohol swabs, and you wipe it

on where the adhesive would stick. It leaves a residue on the skin to

protect it from the adhesive. Just a thought...Marina

Christene,

I had the rash too. I tried it all....... I did the infra red sauna and noticed a big difference.. I heard that if our bodies can't detox out toxins, they will pop through the skin? Not for sure let's see if you get any more post on this topic. Use a good soap with no chemicals.... AOL now offers free email to everyone. Find out more about what's free from AOL at AOL.com.

Rogene,

I totally believe the foot bath helped my skin issues and well as the infra red sauna...

Hi Again Ladies!

I'm still facing those same skin issues and dreading the upcoming

spring and summer. But today my mother phoned me to tell me she saw

this lady on Martha today blah, blah, blah...(think Everybody

Loves here)

here's the link...

http://www.susanciminelli.com/index.php

It looks hopeful or maybe it's just my desperation speaking? My point

here? Has anybody heard of this lady or used her products?

Good to hear from you again Christene! . . She looks a little spendy to me . . . Her stuff is probably good . .. but at that price? Not me! What's going on with your skin? Rashes? Pimples? These are usually associated with toxins trying to get out of your body . . . Have you looked at the ionic foot baths? . . .www.ionicoasis.com . .. You can get the same units for about $50 less on ebay. I was shocked that the gunk that came out of my feet in only 20 minutes. . . The water was so brown/black that I couldn't see my feet. Yes, Ionic foot baths are a detox method . . . I did my first about a month ago. . .I can send you some photos if you want. . . Dr. Kolb is using it on some of her patients before she discharges them. . . Was said to consider it better than FAR infrared saunas . . . which are great! Rogene

This is reassuring and makes it easier to wait until April 30th.

I called around the area (up North here) and I found a couple of PS

that were willing to get me in for a free consult within a week.

Boy was I tempted!

Thanks,

Lynn ;)

Yes, I am sure there are many doctors who would get you in

sooner. Wonder why they are not as busy as ?

Hi Christene,

I remember you skin issues. I too had a rash. The worst rash

(pictures on shutterfly)is gone since explant. BUT I too still have

very dry skin as well as little bumps on the backs of my arms. Some

dermatologist might call it keratosis-like...but I don't think tat

is what it is.

Even with taking oil capsules....and rubbing on oils....it never

gets better. Sure, the oil helps..but within hours I feel dry again.

Let me know if you try her products and if they help you.
