Guest guest
Lynn, A tent in this weather would be a bit cool. Winters here can be on the chilly side. Going to your original surgeon is not something we recommend, often they are in the cya mode. Being scared just shows you are normal. Being angry is normal also. I think we all just have to believe that we will get better, and if we detox and do what we need to do to get better, we do get better. Guest guest
Lynn, I also did that choking with implants. I was eating a burrito from Taco Bell got choked so bad, I thought I was a gone for a few minutes.... It was scary... Then I noticed I started doing it more often and then noticed I would do it no matter what even water I felt like I was going to drown if I drank or ate... Could only breathe through my mouth, not my nose..... So scary.... Good News..... That left with them nasty implants in time..... God Bless Hang in There ~AOL now offers free email to everyone. Guest guest
Someone here said that taking Oil of Oregano helped with their costochondritis. Was it Lynda? You haven't had time yet . . . but do learn everything you can about systemic fungal/yeast/Candida problems. . . Most of the implant women have major fungal issues that will be helped by following a very healthy diet. . See "The Yeast Connection" and "The Maker's Diet". Soaking in a tub of hot water with 2-4 cups (depending on the size of the tub) of Epsom salts can help with muscle pain. Guest guest
I tried taking Oil of Oregano and I became allergic to it within 3 months. But I was not taking it for costochondritis. I was taking it to boost my immune system. Guest guest
I had spontaneous choking too . . . I suspect it has to do with the Vegas (sp?) nerve that goes down the esophagus. . . A lot of women reported a problem with that nerve early on. I still have a bit of trouble . .. usually while eating . . Hubby has had to grab me from behind and push his fist into my stomach (forget the name of the maneuver) twice. It scared him more than me. . . Now, everytime I cough he tenses up. Guest guest
Lynn: Even if you don't go to your original surgeon to get explanted (which we don't usually recommend you do), I would let him or her know that you are sick and what your symptoms are--so many of these plastic surgeons deny anyone gets sick from implants. I'm getting ready to write mine (he also explanted me) a long letter about my two years since explant and recent 8th surgery by Dr. Kolb, which I'll let the group know about later when I have time. I used to live in Colorado and am curious who your implanting surgeon was (assume it's OK to mention names??). I've had dealings with a few of them there. Guest guest
Yes, it was in Colorado, but I no longer live there. The explanting surgeon of my Surgitek bilumens who did the original explant and lift (badly) was Dr. Zwiebel in Highlands Ranch; the implanting/explanting surgeon of the Mentor salines was Dr. Terrence in Englewood; he also could've done more for me. He's the one who now advertises that he "specializes in breasts" (knowing my implants were full of mold) and holds "Girls Night Out" to get girls to sign up for silicone (which he also admitted to me he knows cause problems). You might remember that you'd referred me to Dr. Huang, who I got a consult with, but she was really booked up and she talked Dr. (after we'd argued about Dr. Blais--he called him a nut and canceled my original explant appointment); she'd thought he'd do a good explant and I was able to get back in with him quickly. I sent a post a little while ago, which isn't showing yet, that talks more about it (subject is about trip to Atlanta). KateLynda <coss@...> wrote: Kate,Who was your implanting surgeon? Guest guest
Lynn: I wasn't able to get into Dr. Huang soon enough for me (I was getting sicker and new symptoms by the day by then)--I had to wait several weeks for a consult, like you. I ended up having to back to my original surgeon for my explant because she was booked up. I now regret it but I did what I had to at the time, which was to get those toxic bags out ASAP. I wish now I'd gone to Dr. Kolb originally (instead of two years after explant for another surgery), but I don't know if I could've gotten in any sooner and it would've been hard to travel being so sick. Can't Dr. Huang's office give you an idea of a possible surgery date and put you down tentatively? I'm thinking not, as it seems like I'd tried that and wasn't successful. Katespinkscl <spinkscl@...> wrote: Kate,After you had the consult w/ Dr Huang, how long was it going to take to have the explant? I can't get it for a consult until 4/30!! I was hoping that the explant would be schedule within a few weeks of that??My health is getting so bad... I don't know how much longer I can wait? I have had the implants for nearly 8 years but the last year or so my health has been on a severe decline. Guest guest
Yes, I know who both of those doctors are, and we never refer anyone to either of them. Dr. Huang would have done a good job. She is really good, that is why she is booked up. If you can get in readily, that may indicate that the doctor is not so good. Maybe???? I know the good ones we refer women to are often booked for months ahead. Lynda At 05:10 PM 3/2/2007, you wrote: >Yes, it was in Colorado, but I no longer live >there.
