*climbing up on soap box*

I beg everyone reading this to NEVER give up in their search for information.

To NEVER give up in their open mindedness to try.

To NEVER settle for a doc that says something to the effect of: Go away, don't waste my time, I need to take care of sick people.

And most of all:

NEVER give up on YOURSELF!

I'm tellin' ya, we sometimes don't realize how much more we all know about all the things surrounding our disease, including the meds, than the people in the medical industries, right down to the pharmacists. Holy cow, it's unnerving sometimes!

Still working on the book.. it's not really about me....

It's a fiction... a sci fi.... it's called Thyroid Storm..... it's awesome.... But I can't say too much about it... some one else may be a faster writer and beat me to the publishers! hehehehehehe

I hope that folks will identify with the characters, their descriptions.. and go in for testing.. that would be awesome.. to share a good story for the entertainment of it... and share with others how to spot symptoms of something that is VERY real to a significant percentage of the population and make them aware that these symptoms may indicated a treatable condition.

Because of the disaster involved in the plot I get to have characters with every conceivable set of symptoms of both hyper and hypo and at all ages, with both genders...

I'll be running through diet, exercise, life style, intelligence, moods, fertility.. just everything with a lot of it winding around many of my own experiences....

It's just a ball to work on... and I NEED TO SPEND MORE TIME with it!!! hehehehehe

We have TWO E's.. then I'm back to Topper... more folks call me Topper than anyway!!! hehehehehehe

It's something I don't know if I'd sentence my worst enemy to....

Mine was so bad that I was over 25 thousand calories a day and still losing weight.. had to stop sleeping so that I could stay up to eat... ran around in short sleeved shirts when it was 20 below zero out.. and really freaked my boss out when he needed a ride downtown one day and didn't want to have to deal with parking so hitched a ride with me in my courier truck.. it was below zero and I piled in with no coat and turned on the air conditioning. He asked me why? I reminded him that I'd told him in the fall that the heat in the truck had gone out and he'd not gotten it fixed and since the cold wasn't bothering me in the least I was just turning on the AC to keep the frost off the windows.... after that 30 minute trip that morning he had my truck in for repairs that night and it was back the next day... but I still didn't use the heat.... they Hyper made me too hot!

I remember laying in bed at night, unable to sleep and feeling my heart pounding and feeling my muscles firing....

Not a good time, not a good time at all... and much of it AFTER I'd been to a doc to find out what was wrong with me and got sent home without even being tested....
