Guest guest
Hi, My son alex has been gluten dairy sugar and yeast free for over a year. He did make changes but still no language and on and off constipation problems. I was told to try the SCD diet from a DAN doctor. But when I tried to convert him to this diet it was horrible. I tried 3 different watered down juices and he stimmed alot. Then I tried egg whites which i hear is a sulfur food that can aggrevate a yeast problem he also stimmed badly on this. He cannot handle almonds either. So he can't seem to digest fruit or fruit juices, eggs, or almonds. After speaking with a nutrionist who is very familliar with autistic children and the SCD diet. She says some children have trouble on this diet because of all their senstivities and yeast problems. I am just curious did anybody else have such trouble with introducing new foods that gave them a reaction. I am currently giving him nystatin. Maybe, once we get the yeast under control, we can follow through more with SCD Diet. Thanks for any advice Cheryl
