Guest guest
Dear Kathy Hillary: I can't imagine the feelings you must have wondering whether you have Type 1 or 2. I think initially that I would also be afraid to know, but I think it is calming to have all the facts. That's me. Just before I was diagnosed, my neuro gave me a list of 5 diseases he thought it may be. I went home, got out my medical books, searched the internet, and at work consulted several of my nursing friends. Of the 5, I was hoping for PLS, or familial spastic paraparesis (sp?). Wierd, huh, to be hoping for this. This is what I would do, Kathy. I would ask. I would probably cry, be mad, and grieve. But for me, knowing would be calming. I am so thankful that PLS is all I have. It's not fun. Yesterday was a "bad" day for me. Walking wasn't very pretty, and I just hurt all over. This morning my body feels better. I will pray for you, Kathy. Take care and God bless. Have a great Easter. Love, Laurel
