Thanks , I doubt I'll ever do anything to my poor boobs again...LOL they really look fine and i still wear a 34 C... but the right is a bit smaller which bugs me. I am worried about the fat transfer, because one of the women in our group had a Tram Flap and she had so many problems. The doctors will tell you that this procedure is safe. This is frightening to me; however, it is your choice and I wish you the very best.

Lea,

I have known a number of women who had a tram

flap, including Sybil Goldrich. Most are quite happy with the results.

This type of surgery has come a long way, but I

would encourage women to wait on any procedures,

as there is so much new technology on the cutting

edge, including stem cells mixed with fat cells

and much more. I think implants will become

obsolete in the not too far future as research

comes up with natural ways to enhance

breasts. Wouldn't that be wonderful. No foreign objects.

I would trust Dr. Huang. She is an excellent surgeon.

I had googled to find some information on this, and it seems to be like the TRAM FLAP, only it is called DIEP. The plastic surgeons claim that this procedure is quite safe. I would not want our to go through more health problems. Some plastic surgeons use silicone sheeting when they do the TRAM FLAP!

I can't wait to get these things out! There is a chance that the fat transfer won't even take for me so if it doesn't I'll still be happy. Hi Lea, I talked to Dr. Blais about it and he said it was fine but to make sure that I don't waste my money and tell Huang that if I'm not a candidate, not to do it because this would be a waste of $2000.00. She will be able to determine this better when she's in there. She thought this would be better than a lift for me after seeing my pics, but I'll settle for either at this point! What is a tram flap anyway? Hi , I had them for 15 years and I have something called "Misty Gold". I talked to Dr. Blais the other day and he said that he didn't think there was anyone out there with these anymore. They were recalled quickly...made of about five different very toxic substances. His exact words, after the big sigh were....................................................."oh dear"!!!!!!! Jen, The best description I've heard of tram flap surgeries are the "surgeries from Hell" . .. You sacrifice either a muscle from your stomach or your back to build a muscle. Then have to deal with the consequences as you age. . . IMHO, it's not a good deal! Rogene

Yes, tram surgeries are major, and they take a long time to

recover. And there are weaknesses in your body because of the part

of your body taken for the surgery.

I personally would not consider any surgery that made a weakness in

another part of my body unless it was to save my life.

I am not building a breast. This will not even increase my cup size. It is only to help fill in the upper portion a little better so that it looks natural. They are only taking a little bit of fat cells from my abdomen and it is NOT major surgery at all. Dr Huang is doing this procedure and I could have sworn that you all said she was to be trusted. -, I don't know much about this but the explanting surgeon I

used does this a lot. His nurse had it done, she said it looks very

good. I did not have it done, but had an internal lift. I have

just heard that transfers may not last, even my internal lift has

changed its look. I know that the dr you are using is well trusted

right. I think mine would not do it because he did not want to put

me through more being so sick. You are in my thoughts, I know this

is a big thing, and just remember there are so many others that have

traveled this road too, that made me feel better when I was in the
