Guest guest
Hi , Actually I don't know anything which is frustrating. I have an appointment with an endocrinologist next month so I hope to know more. My thyroid has been checked a few times in the past and everything has been normal. I was surprised when the doctor called yesterday to say that I have an overactive thyroid. I really don't think I have very many symptoms. My irregular menstral cycle, (haven't had one in 3.5 months)is why I went to the doctor. I'm just trying to learn as much as I can so I can go to my appointment armed with some information. I'm just hoping for the best and hopefully I will be able to try to have a baby in the near future once I find out whats wrong. Guest guest
With luck, you'll get Free T4 and Free T3.. those will give a much better picture of what is going on... your TSH tells us that your pituitary is not sending a very loud message to the thyroid to increase output... but that does not tell why.. or what hormone levels are in the blood... are your blood levels of thyroid hormone already high and so your body doesn't not need more? Or are your levels low and the TSH signal wrong? No way to tell without the other tests.... But don't give up.. you know what to watch for, what questions to ask.. and where to go when you need answers... So you won't have to feel alone in this...
