Guest guest
Sussie, Sorry to hear about DH's aunt. Please, be patient with the medicine. It does take a while and you probably won't see an immediate perfect blood sugar. It may be that actos needs a little longer or...maybe you need something instead of actos or something to work with it. It took a while for my meds to get it " just right " . Guest guest
Do you count the carbohydrates in all foods or just in starch foods? The total amount of carbs per meal should include the count in green veggies, other veggies as well as any starch. There are no free foods when you get down to it. It all adds up. Try eating very little starch foods and see how your numbers do. Marie > > Hi I have been on actos for one day. Took a dose yesterday morning and > one this morning. Guest guest
I do count carbs but im new at it and I really need to go get a mini carb book….I do not know how many I should have at a meal so I just eat one serving twice a day..at lunch and dinner… Here is my day so far Coffee with no sugar 1 egg 1 slice bacon in microwave on paper towel lunch was Chinese chicken salad 1 cup salad greens 2 oz baked chicken 10grams of top roman noodles toasted in oven sprinkle of seasoned vinegar…(Yikes I forgot to check this for sugar and im sure it has it in…hehehe see im new LOL) no wonder im messed up!!! That’s is so far…great except for the mess up with the vinegar……I might as well poured sugar down my throat :-) NOTE: just checked vinegar and it has 6g of carb for a T. and I had about a T……..next time: make my own with artificial sugar!!! This will be just as good…got to watch Chinese food…can be full of sugar and msg…. Sussie Thanks all for your advice and putting up with me!!! Im full of questions but in a few months I will be answering questions of newbies….. Re: 190 Do you count the carbohydrates in all foods or just in starch foods?
