Guest guest
I'm not sure Joanne, but a TPO which is a simple lab test will tell you if you have this autoimmune disease. Then you can see what markers you have and be aware if you have any symptoms. See, I have many markers from Rheum Arthr.. to Lupus to Scleroderma, but Thyroid is the only ACTIVE one and maybe connective tissue, but I think not on the connective tissue. You see can have many markers but if you take decent care most will stay dormant one's entire life. When I saw the latest test where suddenly an RA and Lupus marker were there I made them test for them and usually " they say " you have no more chance than anyone else of getting that??? Hmmm. But I did test negative on those two markers, in other words they were dormant and God willing and I think He is, they will stay dormant. Again, it's a simple TPO test. TSI is for Graves and those people are usually hypER thyroid, not hyPO. Guest guest
Joanne, Make sure to 1st get the TPO test. Most hashi's drs don't even know the Yersinia virus can cause it. You can call a lab or dr and ask what a TPO test will cost? And make sure to get labs so you can see markers, though they are nothing to be araid of. You usually don't have them active, but maybe, one and the rest are usally dormant. To be tested for yersinia is sort of a luxury test although some have had their hashi's knocked out but treating this virus. I read this about 4 yrs go. It's just with you that virus can be causative in both RA and Hashis. Okay Joanne, I hope this feeling down passes, and I pray it's not this new bio-identical vendor. I dont' know what's going on with my dr. he had the same progesterone for yrs and he's switched 3 times in 4 months. I may opt for a compounding pharmancy near me that is consistant. Progesterone is powerful and if it's not right it can change you from normal to depressed. But so can my mother. LOL.
