Guest guest
, Some parents (including me) have phased in the diet by just pulling all illegals out..... and then have gone back and done the intro later for a couple of days. Doing the intro right in the beginning..... and following it as closely as you possibly can (minus any foods you know your child can't tolerate), just for a day or two..... is the IDEAL way to start. Do this if you possibly can...... but if it's too difficult, you can just transition over and do an " intro " phase after. Some families choose to re-do the intro diet a few times..... to get kind of a jump start to more progress or just to clear things out when they feel it's needed. The most important thing is to get all those starches out. Patti, mom to Katera, SCD 8 months ?? about beginning the diet I was looking through the recipes this morning on pecanbread and I found so many that I want to try! My question is how strict does the listed " intro " diet have to be followed? My first thought was that I would start by making a few of the recipes and almost wean him into the diet. Is this not the way to go? Please excuse my questions - I'm pretty green to all this and haven't read the book yet. I do plan on getting the book, but I'm curious and can't wait to ask questions. Thank you! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
