Guest guest
Hi Rita, and All I want to thank you all that replied. It helps to hear from others. The experience is different for all of us. I'm 49, and still working. Scared - yes. Depressed - at times. Symptoms are not bad enough for a disability case, thank you God. But they are progressing. My right leg went first, now my left is getting worse, and my arms ache when I type (I'm a programmer). It is quite stressful trying to keep up at work, at home, and work to resolve my dx. My wonderful wife has picked up a lot of the work at home. I'll be glad when somebody says it is " ........ " , and I can stop working my way down this path, and relax. But stories like Tom Tartaglia's, Jerry Simmon', and others show me I'm not done yet. No one seems to know what to make of my symptoms that vary from PLS. I checked in with others outside this group, just to make sure I'm not going crazy and wasting my time. My minister encouraged me to continue looking. He is a smart, well educated, very experienced minister, and I value his advice. Also went to a therapist, who also encouraged me to continue. I just don't know what to do next. I realize I may never get a dx that explains my symptoms, but I gotta try. Thanks again. Alan
