Guest guest
Chrissy Please don't take iron, unless you have had a Ferritin test run and it's down in the very far reaches of normal or below normal. The reason is that, you are right, too high iron can be damaging also, as there is more oxidation (the bad kind) going on in the body, when this element is too high. It has been compared to " rusting " , as you would see on a piece of metal. This may sound like a bad comparison to some, but it is indeed very similar. If you can afford it, get the ferritin, red cell folate, and the B12 run. I don't know what it would cost with insurance or anywhere else, but it was $70 for the folates, and then the same for the B12 alone, through HealthCheck. As a combo, it might be less. ----- Original Message ----- To: <The_Thyroid_Support_Group > Sent: Friday, May 28, 2004 11:06 PM > , can someone take to much iron?? Guest guest
Gosh, no. I'm totally lost. The other three things? I was just wondering what it meant if your MPV was high. Isn't that just one? I'm sorry....I just reread your post, and now I get it. Thanks. I will google it. Must be nothing to be to concerned about since the doctor said nothing? It does help now that this person used her brain a little. lol > >Reply-To: The_Thyroid_Support_Group >To: The_Thyroid_Support_Group >Subject: Re: my lab results came in---JULIE >Date: Sun, 30 May 2004 21:14:54 -0000 > >, >According to my book, Bernard-Soulier syndrome, May-Hegglin anomaly, >valvular >heart disease or myeloproliferative disorder.
