Hello to all of you,

, I'm glad you got your trip in before you begin chemo.

Now about Neprinol. If you google it you get a lot of hits. It talks

about " Fibrin defense " . Fibrins are an important protein that help our

blood to clot which keeps us from bleeding to death when we injure

ourselves. I haven't yet read anything I would take as an assertion

that Neprinol prevents and/or reduces the proliferation of fibroblasts

which are the primary components of the scarring taking place in our

lungs.

I would caution all of us to check with your physician/pulmonologist

before taking a dietary supplement. For a " normal " person it probably

wouldnt do any harm. However, we are special! We all are ill. Most of

us are taking vitamins and dietary supplements regularly. Alot of us

are taking medications of one sort or another on a daily basis. Some

of us are taking alot of medications for IPF and various co-morbid

diseases. Actions, interactions and, reactions! I reiterate discuss

these issues with your physician/pulmonologist. They are being paid to

give you the benefit of their education and accumulated wisdom. It is

a terrible thing when we lose a member of this group to " our " monster.

It would be really horrible to lose one of you to something that might

have been prevented.

Sorry this seems to have devolved into a rant. I just wanted to make

the distinction between " fibrins " and " fibroblasts " .

Peace
