I am having to make TONS of apple/pearsauce now due to some allergies we just became aware of. I bought a nice apple peeler/corer from Amazon a month ago and we cannot get the thing to work. Now i really need one that works well to handle the volume of cooking we are doing with applesauce. Have any of you found a brand you like and can it be ordered online? I have a Progressive that was well rated on Amazon but we just can't seem to make it work properly. Probably it is us! Thanks for any input. You can find them on line, then they will give you a local contact to order from. It was around $50 (I think). It works great. I bought one for my daughter also. Hope this helps. It works great on the perfectly round apples like the granny smith, but doesn't do so great on the kind that is more of a narrower apple shape if that makes sense.
