Calcium, Vitamin D, and Magnesium all work together. There are some muscle supplements that include all three. I get spasms so deep that I have to get myofascial release which are a negative resistance exercise treatment. Make sure you are doing your stretches before exercise, while you are exercising, and afterwards. I know these things but suffer when I don't practice them. If you continue to have the problems, get your doctor to do some lab tests to see what is going on. My family all have a history of " leg cramps " , I remember growing up I was always told they are growing pains. I still have them and when I worked in the yard last week, I really suffered from the cramps. You can go to Google and type in " self myofascial release exercises " and they give you a large directory of information. Vitamin D is known as the " sunshine vitamin " because the body manufactures the vitamin after being exposed to sunshine. I found the following information on the web. It is both a vitamin and a hormone, Vitamin D, sometimes called Cholecalciferol, is the only vitamin that the body is capable of producing on its own. The only catch is that the body must be exposed to sunlight before it can produce this vitamin. It's not necessary to worship the sun to reap the vitamin-making benefits. An hour a week (Ten to 15 minutes of sunshine 3 times weekly) is generally adequate to produce the body's requirement of vitamin D. All of the body's other daily requirement of vitamins must come from the diet and/or via supplementation. Bennie
