Hi All,

I just went through this with . His Creatinine was .3 not a

problem his BUN was 31 ( a problem) they admitted him and gave him an

IV and the next morning his numbers were fine. Look it is my

understanding from the director of pediatric metabolism at new

england medical center that kidney problems are not indicated unless

both the bun and creatinine are substantially elevated. (Prior to

the issue with ) We had a complete blood and urine metabolic test

run on both my children which indicated that their protein was low.

The Dr SAID LEAVE HIS DIET ALONE. (even though a nutritionist

calculated my children getting between 45-65 grams of protein per

day. Also...metabolic issues are tricky and there is a specific

battery of tests that need to be run before any hydration occurs

(which I now have). If you are worried about a metabolic issue I

would advise that you seek out a metabolic specialist. I tried

researching on the internet and nearly sent myself into a panic.

Seek out a specialist. DAN DRS for autism but Metabolic specialists

for metabolic issues.

Just my two cents....Donna
