Guest guest
You Don't Know Me, Don't get too worked up about it. I would file a complaint with the hospital admin on behalf of the guy it took them 2 hours to see though. That is sort of inexcusable. As for disrespect, it happens all over. I have worked in several cities and made runs in/to three states at my last count. I have been treated like a professional at one hospital, and like a moron at another (often at the same hospital depending on the nurse shift). About the only thing you can do in this business it learn to let is roll off your shoulders and/or vent to your coworkers. Remember, many hospitals only see EMS as a big, expensive taxi. Some see it as a " patient transport division " . Very few actually see it as the " prehospital care providers " (who may just save your @$$ some day). Good luck, Webb, EMT-P FLW EMS, MO ______________________________________________________
