Guest guest
Dear friends, I have been away -from the USA and the posts, these limited by my time on the PC- not reading everything, and much behind everybody's news. But I opened this digest today and found the posts, which I have a comment about: on reading of the effects of trauma on people developing LBD, I remembered that until I almost died of a perforated colon in 2004, Sherman, my husband, had only shown a slight decrease of memory and not much more. After my hospitalization, he was acting like a zombie for several days. Eventually, he seemed to recover, but he never was the same as before. I've have always been convinced that my condition and the deep worry it caused in him triggered the rest and hastened the developing of his illness. Just a thought. Hugs for everybody, Raquel > > > > > > > > Dear Joan and Friends, > > > > > > > > Hey, I've used Voltaren too and found it wonderful. I've used it for both knee and hand joint pain - the very things it was developed to treat. Still useful to remind ourselves that while the level of absorbtion is less than in some alternative meds, it does get into the system. And it is an NSAID, with all the potential risks - GI bleeding, ulcers, perforated stomach or intestines, stroke, MI, etc. And my doc warned me not to use it when taking other NSAIDs like aspirin. > > > > > > > > So I use it knowing the possible dangers. Wouldn't it be great if those old " snake-oil remedies " my granddad loved to talk about really existed? > > > > > > > > Have a great night everyone. > > > > > > > > Lin > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
