Hi guys,

Well, for those of you involved with worker's comp and personal injury,

you know what an IME is. My ex boss's attorney is sending me for an IME

with an insurance company doctor Monday morning. I am really anxious as

I just had surgery on my RSD leg and he is probably going to ask me to do

things I physically cannot due right now due to the surgery. My surgeon

cut the gastrocnemius muscle and soleus I think was the other one. I

have one incision below the back of my knee that is 3 1/2 inches long and

one at my ankle that is 2 1/2 inches long. I am still healing as it has

only been 8 days since the surgery and really don't want to do anything

that will further injure my ankle or leg. My attorney said to just tell

him what I can't do and don't worry about it. He also said to put a

small recorder in to my purse and record our visit if possible. This

doctor has lied before in another case my attorney worked on. His client

had taped the visit and the doctor lied on the stand. The tape of

hearing him say the exact opposite of what he said in court sure helped a

lot. Anyway, I just hope all goes well and he does not refute what my

doctors have said.

My comp claims adjuster is really a great person. She has been so

helpful these past few months, I would be totally screwed without her.

My check did not come on Wed as it should have, or Thursday or today so I

called her. She said there had been a mistake because of the holiday and

she will overnight it first thing Monday as I didn't call her until

3:30pm today and it was too late to get it out today. She guaranteed me

I will have it first thing Tuesday. She asked about the surgery and I

let her know it went well but would probably still have to go to Richmond

for the other surgery for the ligament repair, etc. She really is a nice

person and I know she wants me to get better as badly as I want to get

better so she can quit sending me checks! It is so much nicer when you

really work together for the same goal. I am thankful I have such a nice

claims adjuster.

Well, I am going to try to relax and get some rest tonight. I have been

worried about Monday's visit but I feel a little better since talking to

my attorney. I hope everyone has a great weekend!
