Guest guest
It's been a little while since I've written. He was in the hospital at the end of September for a week. He ended up having a horibly strained groin muscle that prevented him from walking. Since then he's had to start insulin for his diabetes. Yet another thing to deal with. While in there he was due for his PSA. They took it. It was 16.7. We went for a week followup and the Oncologist told us and he did more blood work and another PSA. This time it was over 19. He had him come back the next week and started him on Nilandron. After a month he went back for a follow up and he told him about the horible side effects. He couldn't see well and he was exhausted all the time. The doctor pressured him to stay with it. He said it if it wasn't working though with Chemo he'd probaly have a year and if without chemo 5-7 months. Well the new pill was working. The begining of Nov his PSA was 8.6 Last week he went for another PSA. The SEs are basicly gone. His PSA was 9.4 so we are extremely hopeful. Does anyone have any experience with Nilandron?
