Guest guest
My computer is acting up, hope this posts. (asd age 4, had been scd dairy free sinse Sept 03) has had several infractions lately, so we are going back to intro. How long should I keep her on the intro if she is starting over? Her behavior is back and forth, OCD making a comeback and her bm's are horrible. But she is far from how she was pre-scd. Hasn't lost much progress except in the digestive category. My copy of BTVC is out on loan (spreading the word!) so I need help from you all on this one, even though its probably in the book. Thanks in advance, Toni

Guest guest
Hi Tony: Going back to the intro for a couple/few days is usually helpful -- especially if you know your has been illegal. My Clayton is 15 and his OCD comes & goes also. i can't pinpoint foods that directly bring OCD bouts to the surface, but stress levels and sleep quality/amount seem to be more important w/ OCD issues.....of course this is just a mom's guess. Behavior has always been back-n- forth for Clayton, and perhaps always will. But when i look back to 14 months ago when we first began dietary interventions, MY STARS!!! the progress is miraculous!!! Since your is only 4, seems that progress is likely in her future.....keep reading, asking, serving her w/all the love that u have ) (Sorry if i sound like a goof!) > My computer is acting up, hope this posts. Guest guest
-Thanks for your response. You don't sound like a goof at all! You're right about diet and OCD. That was practically the first improvement I saw in after starting SCD. She did perfect intro for 2 days, then last night (day 3) she beat her 2 year old sis down for a saltine. Today she got some grits. I was sitting around thinking how upsetting it was that she keeps getting to bad foods. But then it occurred to me that she is doing it because SCD has helped her so much. She never cared enough about what others were eating to bother trying to get it. Now she is super aware and interested in everyone Just gotta be more careful around here. I guess its back to intro. Again thanks to you and Patti for responding. -- In pecanbread , " packersand " <packersand@y...> Clayton is 15 and his OCD comes & goes also. i can't pinpoint foods > that directly bring OCD bouts to the surface, but stress levels and > sleep quality/amount seem to be more important w/ OCD issues> forth for Clayton, and perhaps always will.
