Guest guest
I wish....sorry, there are none. We'd sure like to find one though! I think the closest would be Lu Feng in Ohio. Guest guest
I don't see one in our Files . . . but maybe someone here can make a recommendation. Rogene Emerald Kittee <emeraldkittee@...> wrote: just thought I'd ask...
Guest guest
I apologize! I JUST was logging back on to say I saw all your files/recommendations - I really thought I searched the site before asking - I know you go thru alot of work Rogene to put that together, - I somehow flaked and thought I'd check it! duh! (Can i blame it on the implants!? Anyhow, I see you have a Milwaukee listing which is only an and hour and a half from me. It does say for Dr Sanger, in Milwaukee, to 'make sure he remove implants en bloc' - even though he is on the recommended list, there is that note - what does that signify? that someone was pleased with explanatation but didn't know to ask for en bloc?Rogene S <saxony01@...> wrote: I don't see one in our Files . . . but maybe someone here can make a recommendation. Guest guest
It's best to confirm with ANY doctor (well maybe not Feng, Kolb or Huang) that they will remove your implants en bloc . . . Some women have gone to docs expecting en bloc, then found out that it didn't happen. . . Consider that the surgeon is working for YOU! . . . He/she should do what you want done (as long as it's a good medical procedure) . . . Don't be intimidated into accepting doubletalk, or let them put you down - in any way! . . . It's their job to make YOU happy! . . . Not the other way around. Rogene

Guest guest
Our list of recommended surgeons comes from way back, and was compiled by someone else involved in breast implant support from years ago. This list has been circulating for some time, and then added to where possible. The reason those caveats are there is because sometimes doctors who are knowledgable about proper implant removal become a little concerned that their name is out there circulating on this list, and may not really want to be known for taking our side. They may have some type of knee jerk response that makes them a little more difficult to deal with--even though they indeed may be knowledgeable about en bloc removal. This happened with my explanting doctor. He was very nice to me, told me that if I were his wife he would want them out, and he did the en bloc removal without too much insistence from me. He just was very nice about everything. I sent a few more letters of correspondence, telling him how I was healing, and then I had asked him if he wanted to be listed as a reference in a book that I had interviewed for ( a book called "Dying for Cleavage" by Jamey Lacey, which never came to fruition that I know of. Jamey was very sick, as was her child, from her ruptured gel implants). After that, when I had sent a few women to him for explant, I heard much different stories. They were hearing things from him like implants don't cause disease, and they said that he was a jerk, etc. I really didn't know what to think, and I was shocked! He seemed to make a 180 degree turnabout from the man I had experienced. So, we need to make sure that women understand that just because a name is on that list, it doesn't mean that these doctors are going to fall all over themselves trying to make us happy with our explant. They are going to sometimes be difficult, contrary, and just plain stubborn about making this an easy experience. We MUST go into our explant consultations knowing what it is that we want, and we MUST insist that they do it properly. We can't be naive. Sure, it would be nice to have a bunch of people on our side, taking good care of us, and actually knowing more than we do about this! It would be nice to just go to them, and have them say, "No problem! I'll be happy to get those nasty implants out for you and get you back on the road to health, " and have that be the NORM rather than the exception. But this is real life. There are only a few doctors that I know of that will take that stance, and we recommend them OFTEN. That would be Dr. Lu Feng in Ohio, and Dr. Kolb in Atlanta. Without a doubt, they are our best allies. Wish it were different.... Patty Emeraldkittee <emeraldkittee@...> wrote: I apologize! Guest guest
Patty, great email. I know exactly what you mean - they are in the biz of making money by altering people's looks - that is the bottom line. If we can find some that respect our wishes enough to comply and can put their ego aside, that is the best we can hope for. I can see how your ps would change his tune.Tricia Trish <glory2glory1401@...> wrote: Our list of recommended surgeons comes from way back, and was compiled by someone else involved in breast implant support from years ago. Guest guest
And if I can repeat what someone else (I think Rogene) said -- Get things in WRITING! That means get in writing the surgeon agreed to an en bloc surgery & complete capsulectomy and that he/she will return your implants to you. Dr. Kolb removed my implants. I was so danged sick then, that I couldn't think straight. I am grateful that she removed the implants properly, and gave me my implants to send for identification. I had no idea what manufacturer they were! > just thought I'd ask... > > > > > > > > > > --------------------------------- > Messenger with Voice.
