Guest guest
Hi, I got some almond flour from Trader Joe's, which has the skin of almonds mixed in as well. Is this okay 9 months into the diet? Because of the holiday mail delay, I thought it would be an acceptable alternative to ordering it from Lucy's. Thanks, Lili
Guest guest
Lili, I think the answer is there's no way to tell until you try it! For a lot of people on SCD, I think, almond skins should be OK at nine months. That's of course no guarantee that your child would be OK. Things to consider: how has person done on raw almond flour? Ever had nut butter with skins ground in? Has person had other nuts with skins? Has person had other higher=fiber foods, and how did he/she react? (like raw veggies, or raw nuts, or raw fruits, for instance I would think these would be more difficult to digest than ground up almond skins). -- Sue, mom to Adam and SCD 2.5 months, but been reading lists for a year! > Hi, > I got some almond flour from Trader Joe's, which has the skin of > almonds mixed in as well.
