Guest guest
I'm considering starting the SCD with my ASD son, but I'm very concerned that he will not eat anything while on the intro diet. All the intro diet foods are things that he doesn't currently eat. Has anyone's child gone on a hunger strike during the intro and how did you handle it? Do you just keep offering foods and see that he drinks plenty of fluids? Did your child begin to try new things? Luke has such a limited diet right now - limited to GFCF allowable junk food (chips, fries, ketchup, sugar)- that I think he will be pretty difficult during the intro. I'm not going to let that scare me off because I know I can handle it, but I'm worried about him and would like advice from someone who has gone through this. Thanks,
