Thank you for all the responses but I must say with different

responses I have read I feel as thought the whole story has not been

told. I was diagnosed feb 06 with A psa of 20.5 I had a biopsy two

weeks later that found 11 out of 12 spores cancerous. I have had 6

appointment with doctors....3 urologist's 1 radiation oncologist and

a prostate oncologis. I have been told that hormone treatment

followed by imrt radiation would be my only choice because the

cancer has escaped the capsule. I have been told that there is a

very low chance of cure but a little chance is better than none. The

radiation oncologist and the uroligist do not agree with each other,

the urologist states that I will be impotant for life after hormoes

and radiation and the radiation oncologist says that's not true, now

understanding the chance of reaccurance is very high but the side

effect will be 100% especially during hormone treatment...Now all

the responses I get revolve around sex and how important it is or

not. If i was 62 60 59 70 68 I would not feel like it'a a big deal

but I am 43 with no children or married living in santa monica

california. My last visit with the urologist went like this "

charles I think if you had started the treatment in feb when we

discovered this it would not had made a difference.....Who said

thinking with the other head does is not good. I have been told so

many thing by so many doctors I really don t know who to beleive.The

only common theme is that they all say life aint fair ! so for those

who think I do not want to go through treatment because I want to

have a few years of sex is wrong. I just dont want to throw away any

time feeling good for side effects with a little chance of actually

getting better. I will diet excersive and hope for the best. I f you

close to my age please tell me what you would do...lets see.. if

your not close to my age tell what you would do if you were my age.
