Guest guest
Well, I have a standard message I send to people when they ask a certain question on my group. Perhaps we can make a file of the substance--of what they are REALLY asking--and have standard answers to just send out. It's not even a copy and paste, as it's in my Signature file in my incredimail email program--I'm guessing here that all email programs now have a sig file? I just go there, click the message I want and it shows as if I just typed it. Messages like--ok, here's where to go, step by step, to find out how to make our unit. Here's a message with the differences between ours and Becks and whatever. Here's a message on where to find directions on other sites for making a Beck (or whatever) unit. Then, instead of typing and typing and retyping, we just hit signature message, and send. Simple, because the same questions keep getting asked over and over again. So the same answers are available without all that typing. Samala -------Original Message------- Maybe for a month or Two we should just try the encouragement and welcome approach to Such questions, despite the injustice of it (and it really is not Fair to us). Just as a cheap way to expand. Other things might Cost more and do less for us. I have no idea if it will work but let's give it a try, ok? I will, it's voluntary on your part. The Real culprit is just the dry, flat format that doesn't Encourage looking at files and photos. The best outcome would be People get to know us better and get involved. That would be good For all, because this is a great group.
Guest guest
BG, we just don't know how net savvy people are. I help my friends with email and other problems and I'm constantly amazed that the answer to their question is right smack in front of them but they don't see it. I'm not sure why this happens unless it just plain overwhelms them all that " stuff " on the screen. I pledge to be more " patient " and provide some kind of answer possibly helping the person find the information they need even if I may not know exactly where it is. Or go look for myself than give them an answer. Jack Silly questions I think, on reflection, having thought, taken some time to cogitate, that this Group format has the limitation of blinding people instead of inviting them to read. People, normally able to read road signs, don't relate to 's " FILES " " PHOTOS " etc, despite groups having been here almost since the Flintstones, if not the real Stone Age. I think, also, we have not solved it with our attempts. I know it's irritating to post a clear message " see our photos " " see our files " over and over and nobody reads it, instead asking the whole group " how do I build this? " . If someone asks how to do this, or where the info is, at least they're not: spamning us (damning spamning), or introducing off-topics, or being just plain annoying with no reason at all. I guess despite the fact that computers have made everyone less patient with repetition, repetition may be a very cheap price to get new participants and active members involved. I will also look at possibly putting something in the message trailers or something to catch attention. But, if that doesn't work, and it might not, it seems worth a try to just answer the questions and not reveal annoyance that they have not read the group site at all or would not have that question. I sometimes worry that if they can't find that info, they might also misread whatever they find, with sad results. But that is unlikely. It's also annoying that we've done this work for years, giving of ourselves, and this jerk wants us to spoon feed them despite we have already documented it so any idiot can do it, and probably just got finished spoon-feeding the last jerk, and now here comes two more of them! But, maybe it is really a good solution to just be patient and repeat it to as many jerks as necessary, and look at the benefits we gain. Maybe for a month or two we should just try the encouragement and welcome approach to such questions, despite the injustice of it (and it really is not fair to us). Just as a cheap way to expand. Guest guest
It's already there on the homepage,Dick. People don't read...they ask. They will send a mail question out to 2400 other people asking for something that is right in front of them. I'm not that annoyed but surely the group must be getting annoyed with the same questions over and over coming in their emails..I don't even subscribe to the group emails. But you guys must have seen the same things 100 times over. > > To all, > > Every message on this board, that comes in on our emails, has the links at the bottom, " Messages in this Topic " , and, " Messages " . Guest guest
Also, we already have a footer applied to all messages saying to look in the files and photos. I have now made this the subject tag line of all our mails. it will look silly, but... > > > > To all, > > > > Every message on this board, that comes in on our emails, has the > links at the bottom, " Messages in this Topic " , and, " Messages " . > Clicking on these will take you to the website, and you can > click " home " and see the introduction, which could say, " Before you > ask questions, which have probably been answered many times before, > please go to the Files section on the left and read the topics that > may apply. Guest guest
Definitely not silly questions - NSV stands for non scale victory meaning you could have lost centimetres off your body, or you are no longer at a diabetic risk, anything that involves an improvement for yourself that does not involve the numbers on the scales. PBng is productive burping which I translate to regurgitating. If food gets stuck or you eat too fast or a few different reasons, it just comes straight back up. Unlike vomiting which is more convulsions from your stomach. Hope those translations make sense (my version of them anyway) It was lovely to meet you yesterday and look forward to seeing you next time. Cheers Cherie > > Could somebody tell me what NSV's are and what p'bing stands for?? >

Guest guest
An Osteopath is a medical doctor who does basically what a chiropractor does. An Orthopedic doctor is often referred to as a bone doctor. Guest guest
Insurance may, or may not cover an osteopath . . . You'll have to check your policy . . . OR call the osteopath you would like to see and ask if he accepts your insurance. Generally, they are treated as any other medical doctor. Guest guest
An osteopath can use chiropratic adjustments, in addition to regular medical care . prescriptions, or surgery. I've found them more open minded to alternative medicine. . . Not always though. Rogene
