Guest guest
Hi M, We have a few 's here, including me! hehehehe Anyway.. your symptoms could be thyroid and possibly adrenal.. definitely not your imagination.... So stop worrying about that part. Can you contact your doc and find out what tests he'll be running tomorrow? I have a suspicion that he's only running TSH.. based on the low staring dose and the brand of medication he's chosen... do you have copies of your previous lab(s) that you can share here? Have you been told what caused you to be hypo? We've got a lot of ground to cover before you go in tomorrow.. be prepared for folks to be shooting you some questions! .... and welcome... Guest guest
Hi Topper Actually, she my doc did a blood test last November I was sub clinical and she prescribed a low dose. Then gave me another blood test in Feb. and thyroid was was off so she increased the dose. Tomorrow I am having any and all blood tests she can give me including Thyroid, and a stress test and on Monday a 24 hr. Holter monitor. I don't have copies of the other test and she will not get the resutls of tomorrows test until next Firday so of course I have to wait but she is very cautious and I like her she is a good Doctor. If she can't fix me then I am going to request a app't to see an endocrinologist. I just found a specialist here in Burlington Ontario not far from home. Thank you for the support I really appreciate it. > Hi M, > > We have a few 's here, including me! hehehehe > > Anyway.. your symptoms could be thyroid and possibly adrenal.. definitely > not your imagination.... Guest guest
oh gosh.. never think you are a pain.. we're all here to help and to learn.. and we all know about brain fog and short term memory loss.. so if you are feeling bashful about asking to have something repeated or clarified... please don't be.. we all know what it's like.. and repeating something or explaining something more thoroughly helps everyone.... Brain farts are very common symptom of hypo! So ask away, everyone... that's the best way to learn, to ask questions.. and the best way to remember is to repeat.. and the best way to understand is to ask why! Guest guest
, Before I was finally diagnosed with Hashi's, I honestly thought I was dying (and wanted to!!!). My doctor did, too, at first. He was sure I had a brain tumor or cancer or something awful. For whatever reason, mine hit me hard and fast. At first I thought I had an awful flu, but it just never went away! Hang in there. Once you know for sure you AREN'T dying, it's a little easier to deal with the symptoms, though still hard. I remember once my doctor asked me if I had any suicidal thoughts. I said, no, I don't think about killing myself, but the thought of living another 30 or 40 years feeling like this is not appealing, either!! Hope you start feeling better very soon.
